Look at this, you are absolutely correct about Rodgers looking different at Cal

http://www.patriots.com/video/...ard-rodgers-te-calif     ....where did this guy go?

I remember seeing those highlights.  He is a much different player now.  It looks like he has bulked up quite a bit.

OK I just watched those highlights.  There is no way in the realm of modern physics that that is the same player as the guy on our roster.  Or he had his legs transplanted from an elephant cadaver.

Interesting article from Blech Report: http://bleacherreport.com/arti...out-who-won-the-game

It's unbelievable when you look at what this guy has done. It's not just the Hail Mary. It's the 4th-and-20 [the play before] with the game on the line, he delivers a laser to [Jeff] Janis to pick up the first down and give his team a chance at the end zone and the Hail Mary…He made the Hail Mary throw under pressure. He knows he's going to get hit. He gives Janis a chance to go up and make the play. Most guys only have one of these in their career…He continues to prove that he's such a unique quarterback.

Those hail mary passes were just unreal.  I think that's what is so frustrating is seeing the raw talent but not having the game plan to just let him play lights out.

As much as I stated they needed to scheme better they really should've went sandlot more often with Janis, Cobb and Abby.  Play some 500.

That coin toss could have been a HUGE distraction and snowballed into a train wreck but he acted quickly and did what was most likely the right thing to do.  He's just lucky it came up the same on both tries.

BTW, has anyone looked up if he was required to re-flip because of the non-flip?  Judgement call?

I'm all for the refs letting them play, and am even willing to overlook all but the most egregious holding and pass interference, but I do wish they would call the penalties that are just too blatant.
When a receiver is legitimately interfered with (like hooking an arm and turning his body) or the play where the Cards WR started blocking immediately instead of waiting for pass to be thrown, those should be called.

Much like umpires give more latitude to runners trying to break up a double play in the playoffs, but are compelled to call the most obvious or blatant infractions.
