I'm not one to get too caught up in who said what, whether anybody is 'taking shots', or trying to read between the lines, but there were a couple of tidbits from MLF's Presser I thought were interesting.
Primarily, his comments on Jenkins playing yesterday was (paraphrased) "there's always open competition" at every position. I'd like to know if this was more related to game planning, or if Jenkins is having better practices than Taylor. In any case, kudos to MLF, Stenavich, Butkus, and others involved in Jenkins' development. Hope to see more of the same all season.
I also thought his comments of "guys taking ownership" was telling.

Arod's comments in his presser I appreciated the most.
Particularly how there is now "veteran leadership that had been missing" and not having a "cancer in the locker room" when talking about what the Smiths (and others) have brought to the team and created a different 'culture'.
Also pays tremendous respect to CWood.
There may have been some shots at some players in the past regarding their no having the confidence to go against the elite receivers

He also comments that they need to find ways to get Graham and MVS more opportunities. I think he was saying the same about Graham last year, if memory serves. He 'sees' something with Graham that I don't, and I wish they could find it or get Tonyan more snaps.

The man is a seasoned vet and the 3rd highest paid player on the team with a 2019 cap hit of 12.6 million.  He is supposed to be a difference-maker... a guy that is good enough to get the team through the growing pains as the new offense cuts it's teeth.

I hear you though.  We'll see what the next few weeks bring, but he needs to get his shit together.

Graham to me always seems like he's ready to fall down. If he keeps his feet long enough to catch a pass it's only going to take an arm to bring him down. Just seems really awkward for a big, athletic looking dude.

Jenkins/Taylor were basically in a dead heat at the end of the preseason and MLF gave Taylor the starting spot due to experience. Makes sense to get Jenkins some experience as the season moves on.

Jenkins was a 2nd round draft pick. He's going to see the field because they picked him based on talent and projection of what he can become. He needs to play in games to really get better, so he's going to play in games. It's that simple.

Graham seems lost in GBs offense, but so do most of the players. Give him time in this new deal and we'll see what happens. I guy like him can affect the passing game in other ways rather than catching the ball. And he can't catch the balls that aren't thrown to him.

Re: Rodgers comments about leadership. I took that as a swipe at CM3. He was always a me first guy intent on building his brand. Also from things I've heard from a friend who deals with the Packers and the players, CM3 was always late and was a dumbass. That is decidedly the opposite feeling I get from L and P Smith but have no confirmation.

As for the DB play, well we've seen it for a couple games now. The new safeties play football. The old safeties (HHCD and Burnett) wouldn't and couldn't cover anyone. Randall was a head case.

Alexander is a star. King can be really good. Brown, if he keeps his head on straight can play. Jackson I am up in the air about because of lack of speed, but maybe he turns into Micah Hyde. That dude knows how to play football.

Being 2-0 changes perceptions and attitudes. Being 0-2 is either a wake up or death knell.

Even before listening to Rodgers' presser, I could sense that there was great chemistry on this team.  The new guys, as well as #23 just bring a swagger that is backed up by their performance, which hasn't always been the case.  Kenny Clark and Blake Martinez finally have some help and legitimate leaders.  I agree with whoever said CM3 never brought that, but I think the "cancer" #12 was talking about may have been Randall or even Daniels, whose act grew stale.

The "cancer" was the enabling by the previous staff (MM) -- guys like Nick Perry & others were allowed to come & go as they please. There was zero discipline.

Isn't it obvious when a Super Bowl winning coach didn't get hired immediately after the Packers fired him?

Back to the Post game presser -- the entire team attitude is a breath of fresh air. It all translates on the field too.

I also saw how Rodgers is giving huge kudos to the 2 Smith's on defense.  Something to the effect that it isn't just their play on the field but also bigtime leadership in the locker room.  This is something I think has been missing and the team is playing with passion and seem to be having fun.

I am not saying MLF is the next Lombardi but man they seem to be enjoying the breath of fresh air overall.

Love the energy and that they break on "Family." It just seems that they like playing for MLF, as when they surround him on winning his first home game. I also like that he says how he appreciates them and to be patient on the process. It may all go to hades in a handbasket if they lose two in a row, but for now it's such a breath of fresh air.

As for locker room cancers, I'd say the shots were taken at CM3 and Daniels. I've always complained that Clay was never a leader and didn't care to be. Daniels' act proved to be just that -- an act. He would probably join WWF and do just fine.
