Thought Looney had an (outside) shot at the 53. Both worthy of development.
#Packers have begun signing players to their practice squad. Among the 10 is cornerback Kabion Ento, per league source. A college WR, Ento injured his hamstring on a leaping INT in camp. Packers like his potential.

I agree, thought Looney was having a nice camp.
Any word on Lazard ?
Quarterback Manny Wilkins - Reported by Ryan Wood
Wide receiver Malik Taylor - Reported by Bill Huber
That's 6/10

yahooo, so glad Manny Wilkins is back.
Tight end Evan Baylis - Reported by Matt Schneidman
7/10
I'm just stunned they would sign Taylor to the PS over Lazard. That one makes ZERO sense
Or you could wait for the rest of the info.
The Packers always have a boring practice squad...almost always they bring back their own guys, rather than trying to find the most possible talent they can from other teams cuts and signing them to the practice squad.

I did not see anything from Wilkins, except for one leap over a defender. But who knows maybe the coaches did see something in practice. At least he knows the playbook.
Would be interesting to know who backed out.

Need a qb on scout team.

He's signing elsewhere to a 53 I'll bet.

I don't think so...he was NOT claimed on waivers, so I'm not sure why anyone would sign him now, when they could have just claimed him. Now I could see him ending up on someone's practice squad. Maybe his injury is worse then reported.
Yeah I could see that too....
Lazard to the PS.
OH ****!!! THIS IS A TRAVESTY!!1
Thought we had banned the Lazard people from this board.

Usually 1 or 2 guys are from other teams. I guess Gutey and LaFleur really liked the guys they had in camp.
Just keep him for a week or two--someone always goes down...
Looney, Carson, Baylis, Ramsey, and Lizard were the best signings, IMHO.
I would have liked to see Otis Redding signed, but I trust the coaches know what they have in Taylor.
Same goes for Ninja. Somebody sure likes him. I want to see him actually develop and not 'languish' for a year or 2 on the PS.
I like the list of guys on the PS. There's some nice talent there to develop at multiple positions.
Any word on if GB even put in any waiver claims?
Where did Hoyer end up?

TBH I've been paying more attention to the Titans practice squad. Way more exciting.

Why?

Maybe Gute and MLF felt that between Shepherd and Lazard, Lazard had the better chance of surviving waivers and rejoining the team on the PS. I like both guys and am glad we retained them. I still feel Lazard will be something special for this team, once he gets onto the 53. Shepherd will be a contributor, as well. Excited for the regular season to begin! GO PACK, GO!!

He could be our new Taysom Hill.
Can he block punts?

Doesn't have enough kids.
The idiotic tall WR phenomena is hanging on for dear life on the NFL practice squads. There are tons of them. One of the best resumes to have in the NFL is to be a failed tall WR. They always get another job. Like Josh Doctson. Used to watch that talentless WR at the neighborhood football stadium. The press says the Vikings signed him. They only had four WR's on their roster. I was hoping they would do the Packers a favor and steal Lazard. Has Michael Floyd found a job yet? He has so much upside, and in the name of winning 1 out 10 jump balls, really deserves a chance to ruin another team's season.
But in the real NFL, the league's 53-man roster WR corps in 2019 may be the shortest in a very long time. Of course, the Packers have moved to alleviate that shame by listing Shepherd at 5'11". He musta been wearing spikes; as in, heels, on measurement day.
