Packers want to sign him after the bears game so they don't have to guarantee a full years' salary.

He wants some guarantees

And he'll have to wear 82, 85 or 87 this time around

#84 is also available.

@TomSilverstein: #Packers want WR Myles White back for their practice squad. But he'll have to clear waivers. And agree to return.

@WesHod: White has year left of PS-eligibility but curious what his move is if he clears waivers. Meanwhile Ed Williams flying to DET for workout.

@WesHod: Also have to remember #Packers could've promoted White last year but went with Kevin Dorsey instead. Contending with Abbrederis, too.

@TomSilverstein: It was just pointed out to me that not a single WR was claimed off waivers following the cuts. That doesn't bode well for Myles White.

1.  He'll clear waivers.  No one likes smaller guys.

2.  He knows this offense.  He's ahead of Abbredabellrung.  He made the cut until Jones became available, so Packers are his best chance.

3.  Not seeing the relevance of last year's Dorsey move. It failed.

Speaking of scrubs and practice squad players

Perhaps we can show these guys a little respect. While they aren't the elite of elite

( 150 out of 1 million HS players) they are pretty damn good athletes

Maybe they should have been better math students...

Practice Squad

WR Jared Abbrederis
TE Justin Perillo
LB Carl Bradford
LB James Vaughters
OG Matt Rotheram
RB John Crockett
OT Jeremy Vujnovich
DT Christian Ringo
WR Ed Williams
CB Robertson Daniel

CB Robertson Daniel is the only player signed to the PS that wasn't with the team.

Has good size/speed for the position. 6'1 and ran a 4.46 40 at his pro day with a 35 1/2 inch vertical. Did 24 reps with 225 lbs so he's got good strength for a DB

Way to go thinking out of the box Rat.

Daniel was a guy I really wanted Ted to draft. I think he can be a great player for us, and could not have landed on a better team to develop further. Cool.

In just 2 years at BYU had 112 tackles, 1 sack, 19 PDs, 3 INTs, 2 FR and 2 FF. Personally, I love these last 3 stats for a CB. That's a guy who plays the ball, a gamer. A, "baller," if you will... The 19 PDs are impressive too. Great addition to our PS.

I see good things from him too. linhttp://www.vanquishthefoe.com/...ile-robertson-danielk

Good posts. Looks like a very interesting prospect for sure! I'm glad we have a CB coach who can take a pure athlete and turn him in to a player (ala Sam Shields), so if this kid keeps his head on straight then he has a chance!

I also like the fact that he is a "man" type corner. Capers system relies on the corners to stick to their WR while he dials up a blitz. Goodness knows our pass rush is not that great without a blitz.

Glad to see Perrillo and Crockett there.  I hope we can hold them.  Amazed Bradford is there and a little surprised Rotheram is there, but I know developing OL guys is always important.  He just didn't seem to show much, but then I didn't focus on the line during preseason; I rely on you guys (dangerous, isn't it?)  :-)

I'm surprised at how many are still with us. Shocked. Like Crockett a ton as well.

Rotheram needs the development as a pass blocker. He was a true road grader on a running team coming into the draft.

Funny thing, Robertson Daniel reminds me a lot of Gunter.
Both remind me of Davon House coming out...tall, lanky cover men who lack deep speed, but are very physical with receivers at the line. 4.46 is a good 40 time and I think House put up a similar time, but they don't have that extra gear on deep routes. House made up for it with great instincts and technique so that he was never a step behind. Hopefully Whitt can get Gunter and Daniel up to that level.

What H5 said.

Also, keep in mind that other teams have to sign PS players for their active rosters, not to their own PS.

I think this is what 'protects' a lot of our players, although new PS salary rules can certainly have an influence.

It's also worth noting that this year is the first that all player costs will be charged to the salary cap; both the 53-man roster AND the 10-man PS, as well as any player on a reserve list.

His arrival on PS suggests Dimitri Goodson's departure, after week 1

Packers need a roster spot for Datone

Tough being a fringe player, especially an RB that Goalline fancies

Yeah,I jinxed him really hard. The icon would have been proud.

I don't know. Is it him, or Banjo, or Boyd? We will be faced with a similar situation when Guion comes back. I believe all 3 of those players are riding the bubble. Goodson is a good STs player, as is Banjo. We have a lot of CBs who can step in at S if need be.
