@Tschmack posted:Jon Horst and the Bucks just outsmarted Masai Uriji and Pat Riley. Serves them right for tampering, I mean, talking about adding Giannis after this year.
Now I hope they play both teams in the playoffs and send them packing.
Riley basically replaced Crowder with Avery Bradley (which weakens them in a matchup with the Bucks). Riley will make a major move now that Giannis is off the table.
I'm not sure what Toronto will do. Their offseason didn't make a lot of sense and seemed to be based more on maintaining flexibility for Giannis in 2021 rather than getting better this year.
They've lost Leonard, Gasol, Danny Green, and Ibaka off their title team and ended up replacing them with Aron Baynes and Patrick McCaw and some draft picks. Green had his problems shooting in the playoffs, but they lost 4 elite defensive players (all 4 have been named to at least one of the 3 NBA defensive teams in their careers).
2020-21 roster
- PG: Kyle Lowry, Malachi Flynn,
- SG: Fred VanVleet, Terence Davis, Patrick McCaw.
- SF: OG Anunoby, Norman Powell, DeAndre' Bembry.
- PF: Pascal Siakam, Chris Boucher.
- C: Aron Baynes, Alex Len.
