The weird thing? He finishes his career with the exact same number of HR's as his Dad.
He's also due to be paid 24 mil a year through 2020. That would be guaranteed yes?

Contract is guaranteed, he's medically unable to play, not "calling it quits". He will get the money.

Wow that's a lot of dough. Then again, I have to keep reminding myself this isn't the NFL. His 2 years in DET IIRC he was pretty healthy. Then everything went to shi*. 2 neck surgeries never bode well.

Part of the commitment supposedly is covered by insurance. Still it was a foolish deal, and the Choo contract is nearly as bad. Rangers are pissing money away like the government, it kills me.
