I haven't seen much game action, but the D would have to get better just from getting healthy.

A healthy Nick Perry on one side with Datone Jones, and then then another year of experience for the secondary.  How can they not get better.  And if the Packers have any sort of run game, the O will keep the D off the field more often.

They have to be better than last year!

I do believe Mr. Prisco was drunk when he made these picks.  The Pack are a good team and will probably win the division with 11-12 wins, but to win 14 you have to be both elite and lucky and (with all due respect) the Pack are neither.

A few other "expert" predictions I'd like to challenge:

He has the North, a division with 3 double-digit win teams last season and a forth with 10 the year prior, as easily the weakest division in the NFC.  Outside of the NFC North, he predicts only two teams in the NFC will have losing records.  I don't think so.

Every team in the NFC West at or above .500?  The Cardinals and Rams are still in that division, right?

The Giants, Patriots, Steelers, and Saints are teams on the decline, but Mr. Prisco has them steamrolling through the season with 11-13 wins apiece.

I think the Dolphins, Eagles, Lions, and maybe even the Bills will contend for playoff spots, but Mr. Prisco has them winning between 3-5 games.  Absurd.

B-N-D

PS: If the Falcons have to come to Lambeau in the playoffs they'll get killed.

I seem to recall the Falcons beating the Packers in a playoff game in Lambeau.

FWIW, I see the Pack winning about 10 games. Aside from having the best QB and one of the best LBs, I don't think we have enough talent to be considered one of the elite teams. We've invested in some good running backs, but we still don't have a line that can block for them. That we do as well as we do is a testament to McCarthy's coaching.

One bright spot that I've been enjoying is the return of Johnny Jolly. I think he's going to be a playmaker this season.

Exactly agree, DH.

Same. Pack's schedule isn't too kind and I HATE that they have  a very early bye. I'd say 10-11 wins for the team, 12 tops if things go their way(guys stay healthy)

..those two games were totally flipped as far as the two stats that are most predictive of an NFL outcome...turnovers in each game were 4-1 in favor of the winning team & average yards per pass attempt significantly favored the winning team in each of those games also.

Just having Aaron Rodgers alone does seem to give the Pack a tremendous advantage over about 2/3 of the NFL.   That said, that upper 1/3 is where I think it's hard to say where in that group the Pack stands.

There's some fine young talent on this team, unfortunately some important pieces are hurt or on IR.  I wonder if maybe they might be a year away from "reloading".   They feel like a 9-7, 10-6 team, but you never know, the right combination of things happen and maybe they surprise like the Ravens did last year.
