Nope. it is a home game for Bucky. But I could still see a letdown after last nights big win. This will be a good test for Gard to have the guys pumped and ready for a team that looks better now than just a few weeks ago. Luckily they have a couple extra days to prepare. Could have been Wed then Sat games instead of Tues. Sunday games.
Correctβ¦.my mistake.
@ammo posted:No, it does matter. No #2 seeds play in Milwaukee. I know these are only Lunadi's projections but it does show where early round games are played by region.
However, if you look at Palm's predictions on CBS, he has UW as a 2 playing in Milwaukee. The way that I understand it is, they take the top 16 seeds and place them in the closest of the 8 opening rounds playing sites. They no longer place 8 teams in the same region at the same opening site, only the four teams that would potentially play each other. For example, they would place Gonzaga first (assuming they're 1 overall) in their closest site which would be Portland. This would put the 16-1 game there and the 8-9 game there. That doesn't mean that the 4-13 and 5-12 games have to be in Portland, though. They continue on this way through the top 16, closing a site once it has two of the top 16 seeds in place. There are really no schools ahead of Wisconsin in the rankings that is closer to Milwaukee than another site, so I think that they are almost guaranteed of playing their first two at Milwaukee regardless of their region.
Well that is interesting. I didn't realize it worked that way. What is the reason for the projected brackets then?
I honestly think that ESPN is just too lazy to change the locations on the projections. CBS has changed them all the way through. That said, I never really did understand how they've worked in the past, and maybe I'm completely wrong here.

The Badgers got very lucky, but most of the time luck is the product of hard work.
I canβt agree with this enough. Good teams make their own luck. The Badgers are an incredibly well-coached, disciplined team, and strong fundamentals are so incredibly important in college basketball.
Iβm very much looking forward to March Madness. It all starts on the 13th.

Interesting comparing the 2 brackets. ESPN has Rutgers in the trounament as last team in, CBS doesn't even have them as a bubble team. Of course it makes sense that Eastcoast Sports Promotion Network has Rutgers in.
