Problem is...Green Bay sucks too. Like 3 weeks ago, this was another winnable game at home. McCarthy way too clever for his own good not once but twice on 1st and 10 inside Vikes 15. WR screen on 3rd down? Not one shot INTO the end zone? Your team is fighting for their playoff lives and you don't go for the win in your own house?

Overtime same thing....wait til 3rd down and cross your fingers and throw the fade to the corner. Awful, awful coaching job by a guy who should know his team and know his situation both in-game and the implications for the year.

An Aaron Rodgers made man.

Just want to make sure I have this right.  MM's fault for not throwing into the endzone--first redzone attempt.  MM's fault for throwing into the end in the second redzone attempt.

Appreciate the analysis.

Down, distance, knowing the situation, playing odds rather than playing scared. Both those drives were cluster-f's of epic proportion, and playing not to lose. Your star player is out and you don't know exactly when he will be back...you need to steal a win somewhere and when it's in front of you to do, you don't flinch, especially at home.

True. Lions, Dallas, Pitt and Chicago are not gimmes. Dallas is thumping NY that ran all over us.

Game in Dallas? They don't do well down there.

Next time, why don't you post in the chat room the play you would have run, before it is  run.  Love the airmchair QB calls, though.

The Lions game will determine the season. With Rodgers, the last four are gimmes, put that in the bank.

A 1-0 record and a Lombardi trophy is pretty bad, I will admit that. BrINT's struggles in a stadium that no longer exists has no bearing.

Pretty sure I recall JPP claiming to have known the call on his pick 6 last week. Nothing to do with armchair qb. MM got predictable exactly at both times when it WAS predictable. Go be happy with a tie if you like, this was a winnable game.

I never would have guessed that....  Dissapointing.

with the bears and vikes both losing that's as good as a win, no?

Unfortunately a win is a win.  This was a tie, so by definition it is not as good as a win.  On the other hand, it is better than a loss.  But it's still  not as good as a win.

It was a tie.  This is not soccer. As I told a friend earlier.  Nobody gets a ribbon today.

I'll be looking for your playcalls in the chat room on Thursday....before the plays happen

The 2010 game was in Green Bay. I don't think the Packers have won in Dallas since 1989 and only three since the 1960's.

Romo can light it up against this Packers defense.

Anyway, let us win Thursday first and then worry about it later.

Shotgun formation with one back Starks...pass play. Under center, one back, Starks, 6 yards deep...run play...real hard to predict. Doing what they did resulted in not winning the game. If you're ok with that, fine. I have higher hopes for this team, and I believe MM is a much better coach than he showed today, especially in light of the fact that with Flynn you are freed up to do at least a little bit more than with Tolzien. But stick to your one single point cuz it's bulletproof for you.

The Packers suck in Dallas:

They played the Cowboys then!?

They also had a pretty good defensive secondary. Now......?

As I posted above, win Thursday first, then we can worry about the Cowboys.

Yep, hand the ball to your best RB (Lacy) who was a beast today on the first 2 plays in the OT drive---you are right, that's real stupid.

My single point---it's those who always bitch about the calls when they don't work.  Luckily, we now have the technology to have you showcase your superior playcalling ability in real time, before a play is run, so nobody can accuse you of armchair QB.  I anxiously await your showcasing that ability.

Yep.  If MM throws the ball down there and it's incomplete, it's, "RTFB MM!! WHY DO YOU ALWAYS GO AWAY FROM THE RUN!!  LACY WAS UNSTOPPABLE!!"

Lacy was one cut from a TD on that second play where they gave him the ball, and that's with 4 OL blocking for him (don't even get me started on POS Newhouse).  It was the right approach.  It just didn't work.

There's plenty to fault MM on even with obvious hindsight, but that IMHO isn't one of those instances.

I kind of agree with JJSD, my only complaint is give Eddie some gosh darn help down near the goalline ... put Kuhn in and some TE's and say here it is, stop it. Especially over around Newhouse.
