Down 3-0 after 5 as Miley just gave up a 2 run HR with 2 outs in the 5th. The Brewers need a rally now or we're going to see the B team come in from the bullpen. Miley is probably done for the night.

His strike rate has to be close to 50% and until that big game he looked as bad as last year. He hit some balls hard earlier in the season but a bunch of choppers to 2B and Ks lately.

He walks enough that he maintains a decent OBP, but I'm not sure how long they can continue to justify giving him at bats. His arm is a liability in the outfield and you can't DH a guy who has no power at the plate. Hiura had a better OPS than Yelich did last year and he's now in the minors (and has continued to hit AAA pitching very well).

Yelich has to sit against some LH pitchers and hitting leadoff and 3rd doesn't make sense. Maybe he can swing his way out of it. 3 Ks and the routine chopper to 2B again.

Hitting him first makes more sense than third. He works deep into counts as he walks and strikes out a lot, so it does help for the lineup to see what the pitcher has that day. And, hitting first, it tends to make a player focus on getting on base rather than feeling you have to hit for power.

But, at this point, I think if you are going to play him at all, you have to hit him 9th.

The Brewers are now 8-3 and have a tough series against the Padres coming up. So far, a nice surprise to see how it's gone.
