9:40 EST First pitch…Guess I’ll check the score at 3:00 a.m when I get up to pee.

Pure gold there BK. I noticed he's wearing a home hat with an away jersey.
Down 3-0 after 5 as Miley just gave up a 2 run HR with 2 outs in the 5th. The Brewers need a rally now or we're going to see the B team come in from the bullpen. Miley is probably done for the night.
That was an ugly one. The Brewers end up 2 over the minimum. The #3 hitter only batted 3 times. 15 Ks.
Early season trend - if the Brewers score at all they win.
I actually have that set of cards!
In 10 games the Brewers have been involved in 6 shutouts.

Woodruff is on the 15 day DL.
Bringing up Janson Junk to replace Woody.
I was hoping that Yelich was coming out of it when he went 3 for 5 a couple of games ago.
But he opened up tonight striking out twice, and has now struck out 5 of his last 6 plate appearances.
His strike rate has to be close to 50% and until that big game he looked as bad as last year. He hit some balls hard earlier in the season but a bunch of choppers to 2B and Ks lately.
Burns is razor sharp. 4 innings and 42 pitches. One hit erased by a DP.
The Brewers with 3 hits in 15 innings so far in this series.
Brewers finally get a hit. Adames goes deep 1-0.

He walks enough that he maintains a decent OBP, but I'm not sure how long they can continue to justify giving him at bats. His arm is a liability in the outfield and you can't DH a guy who has no power at the plate. Hiura had a better OPS than Yelich did last year and he's now in the minors (and has continued to hit AAA pitching very well).
5-0
Nice.
Bats are alive ! Burnes stays on for the 7th.
Only 76 pitches. I think he's at the minimum. 1 hit but a DP.
Yelich has to sit against some LH pitchers and hitting leadoff and 3rd doesn't make sense. Maybe he can swing his way out of it. 3 Ks and the routine chopper to 2B again.
7-1. Should have been a shutout. A walk, fielder's indifference, and a single with 2 outs in the 9th.

Hitting him first makes more sense than third. He works deep into counts as he walks and strikes out a lot, so it does help for the lineup to see what the pitcher has that day. And, hitting first, it tends to make a player focus on getting on base rather than feeling you have to hit for power.
But, at this point, I think if you are going to play him at all, you have to hit him 9th.
The Brewers are now 8-3 and have a tough series against the Padres coming up. So far, a nice surprise to see how it's gone.
Brewers play notoriously poorly on the West Coast. I’d be thrilled with 5 wins on this trip.
5 wins would be pretty good because AZ is playing better. At least the Dodgers and Giants aren't part of this trip.
Game 3 against the d-backs starting now, in case you didn't know.
Yelich actually starts out with a leadoff single. Followed by a pop up, and then a DP. Inning over.
Catcher's interference takes away a great play. Junk could get 3 starts before Woodie gets back if he pitches well. First time I've seen him.
1 unearned run, could have been worse. It looks like another generous HP umpire.
I think we're in big trouble, 4-0.
That's what happens when you have junk pitching.
Got three runs now c'mon Crew ! Alright Yeli !
The chance was there. Huge DP killed that one.

I agree, tough name for a pitcher. I would say Grant Balfour was the worst though.
That wasn't so good.

Bob Walk was unfortunate as well.
Both TV announcers, have said D-bags, instead of D-backs lol
