Hey!! I like brussel sprouts.
Only thing I'd like to know about the game is if anyone noticed the "flavor" of how the pass defenses were playing. More/less PI or illegal contact called? Or are the DB's not doing that anymore knowing they'll get flagged? More passing yards by either team? WR's more open?

Anyone?
Create channel had Jacques Pepin cooking fish, Burt Wolf defending 1%ers, Rick Steves in Bosnia, that wierd woodworking guy with the red mustache, a hot Irish chick talking about food (the sucking on the seaweed was actually kind of hot), the spacey looking dude with the grills in the cowfield, and John Clayton talking to fat chicks cooking in the kitchen.

I have yard work planned on Sunday.
Just my opinion but the middle of the field seemed more open. May just be the style of play of the two teams, may be less clutching and grabbing.

I think the defenders were playing more consistently inside the NFL style rules when it came to the passing game.

There were no scrums that I recall. Individual players got into it with each other but nothing escalated. I didn't catch every play though so I may have missed something.

The game also had flow and I think that relates with how the Packers like to play with tempo. There wasn't an endless parade of delays. This may also help the Saints though.

As a sidenote the Saints have more dropped passes than any team in the league and they haven't been losing by all that much. I've been watching their games because I have Brees as my fantasy QB. Their RT has struggled mightily at times and Brees has faced a great deal of pressure.
The players didn't get away with squat, basically. They reviewed teh Cribbs play due to teh helmet coming off and called penalties where they needed to from what I saw. The game also flowed well from what I saw.
Watched five plays. No stomach for it. But, on one play, they did call a helmet-to-helmet hit that the replacements would have fluffed on. It was a legit call, a bang-bang play. Reminded me of the s*** we had for refs. Shut off TV.

And I hate Thursday night games.
Even Bear/Packer Thursday night games?

Was watching Stanford/Washington game. On ticker it read how refs received standing ovation and Ray Lewis hugged Gene Steratore.

Awwww......

Glenlivet 12, 15 & 18 year old were great!
Mad

Macallan 12
Laphroaig 10yr cask
or
Lagavulin 16?

It does suck that everyone in the NFL is embracing the return of the refs and GB had to take one up the backside for it. Well, maybe not every team. I'm guessing Paul Allen voted to keep the replacements.

With the flavors of Northern Wisconsin straight from the cask!

(For those who don't know, Glenlivet gets their casks "used" from French Sherry vintners who got the oak from the Northwoods of Wisconsin (and Minnesota) which is part of why it has such outstanding subtle flavor characteristics. Wisconsin oak is a highly appreciated cask wood for vintners and distillers.)

We now return from your completely useless trivia break for the morning.
The return of the refs may make it easier for our passing game to get back on track but will it also result in our pass D giving up more plays? I haven't read or seen anything on how our DB's have been playing WR's, only how opposing DB's have been playing ours. We're currently ranked #1 on pass D so it will be interesting to see if that continues from here on our. It also probably helps that we haven't faced any decent QB's yet.
I posted this in another thread, from MM yesterday. The bolded part to me says that the Packers have prepared and played the game the right way the first 3 weeks, so why would they do something different now.

Going to be a feeling-out period for officials, too?

"Can’t really concern myself with the performance of the officials. We had conversations about approaching the game differently, but we chose not to. We felt it was important to playing the game the right way with approach to rules. We’ll really focus on improving ourselves. I can’t really be concerned whee the officials are coming out of their training camp. We do have history with the referee crews, we’ll look at that but won’t change our approach to the game.”

they're also, at least to me and my wife, great in whiskey old fashioned sweets.
doesn't seem like it would be a good match, but it is. especially if Sally at the Corner Bar in Pella is making 'em - one and you're feeling good, two and you're silly.

Same here. But at times it wasn't easy seeing as the game was being played in the Seahawks stadium so everybody had to keep mentioning what happend there a few days ago. Ugh.
