Did the Brewers take a page from the Packers as how to keep the franchise viable while trading away the face of the franchise? Only time will tell.

I donβt expect them to keep this up all year with such a young roster and sorta iffy pitching but itβs been impressive and fun so far!
For two weeks, Yelich has morphed back into MVP Yelich, Chourio looks like a future star, and Brice Turang has an OPS of 907.
It's unlikely Yelich is going to hit 76 home runs (his current pace), but even if he hits 30 with 100 RBIs that's a huge difference. Turang just needs to be average at the plate to have a lot of value given he's a Gold Glove level defender. And we'll see how the MLB scouts evaluate Chourio and develop a plan for how to pitch to him. His adjustments to that will tell a lot, but he sure passes the eye test. And he just turned 20 last month.
Plus the Brewers have a sure fire star in Contreras. Even tho I liked Wiemer, Chourio will be much better. And we have not even begun to see what Garrett Mitchell can do on a consistent basis. Pitching, yah there are some soft spots there. But so far so good.
