Sucks losing the in state talent again.
I guess Bo will have to do what he always does and coach up who he has
If Stone lives up to the hype he's one- or two-and-done. Better fit for Maryland if so. In all likelihood Melo Trimble stays for just one more year at Maryland so Stone will benefit from playing with an NBA-level point guard prospect before they both declare for the draft in a year.
Word in MKE is that he got a 13 on his first go of his ACT. He might have been a "good student" at Dominican.. but that was probably because he had major assistance. You have to take the ACT all by yourself.
Another stupid highly ranked kid going out of state for school. Doesn't seem to work out for most of them that do. Probably a coincidence? I don't think so.
would have been nice to have a talent like Stone on the team next year,
but grown men can sure get pissy when they don't get their way. The kid is going to college, good for him.

They have a scholarship available now. And the list of recruits it still pretty strong:
- Alex Illikainen: #1 ranked player from MN, 6'9" F
- Brevin Pritzl: #20 SG, 6'3" with "in the gym" range
- Charlie Thomas: 6'7" PF from MD, #79 PF
- Khalil Iverson: 6'5" SF triple double machine #62 SF
Last time they got a consolation prize it wound up being Kaminsky. Let's hope for a similar result.
This is a big bummer. Would be interested in knowing the full story on the decision. With Bo teams always running their offense thru the big guy, I thought that would give Bucky the edge.
To be honest, I have no idea what kind of game he has. Maybe he is just strictly a low post guy and didn't feel inside/out game UW bigs usually have was a fit.
Does anyone know Ellensons reason(s) for choosing MU over Wisconsin?
The only reason that Stone had to choose Maryland over UW was that he is heavily influenced by the Under Armour $$$$. His AAU team was sponsored by UA, and Maryland is to UA what Oregon is to Nike. It's extremely shady that these shoe/apparel companies influence athletes to go to certain school, but that is the reality and that is exactly what happened here. There is no other reason Stone chose UMD over UW.. or heck any of the top 25 schools that recruited him except for the UA influence.
You flirting with me again? Aww.. cute.

Give it a year or two and he could be switching to Bucky...just like his dad did. The parents also did this with the Henry's oldest brother (Wally) by embellishing a practice tussle into a bullying story when Wally was at EC Memorial as justification to move the family's four children to Rice Lake (my inside source says the primary reason for the high school transfer was the 2nd eldest Ellenson (Ellwood) wasn't getting the minutes the parents thought this younger Ellenson should be getting on varsity - and he most certainly didn't deserve).
That said, Wally recently transferred from Minnesota to Marquette and now may end up playing with his youngest brother for Marquette next year. FWIW, Wally is a world-class high jumper.
2015-16 is going to be a step back. How could it not be unless they reach the Final 4. But don't forget about Hayes. I think he may average 20/10 next year and be a candidate for Big 10 player of the year.
It's also reassuring to know they are saying the same things about Happ that Berggren used to say about Kaminsky. Berggren said he had trouble handling Frank in practice and the staff knew Frank was poised to break out.
Excited and thrilled to announce that I'm going to be a Wisconsin Badger next season! Can't wait to get started @UWBadgers
