It's going from bad to worse in Beertown.
No Scooter tonight as he required stitches in his hand after a shower accident after yesterdays game.
Could be headed for a DL stint.

Lucroy's wife probably misplaced the soap
Just win, anyway we can lets get the W.
Shower accident or maybe clubhouse fight?
gonna need somebody to make themselves tradeable
Brauny goes yard ! Yessss !
Braun hit a home run!
Brewers will win tonight. Jason Marquis on the mound for the Reds. Hard to believe that guy is still in the majors as he was never very good to begin with.
Milwaukee has crushed him lately, meaning tonight will be a complete game shut out.
#Brewers lose another player for two weeks: Gennett placed on DL with his cut hand. Elian Herrera up from AAA. Kintzler DFAd.

I can only shake my head at the Brewers sometimes. Did they build their stadiums on indian burial grounds?
There ya go Brewers. Answered right back !
At this point its good to see any kind of production at the plate.
Good lord
Whatever Rick Kranitz said, it didn't work. Fiers surrenders a two-out grand slam for the second consecutive inning.

Fiers ties most grand slams allowed in one game.
Five runs for the Brewers already. Marquis is terrible. But the Brewer's get Fiers-ed and done in by bad defense. Which begs the question, can Rogers play third base? Baseball Reference lists Rogers as having played 127 games at third base, with 344 chances and 21 errors. That's a fielding percentage of .939. If you take all MLB qualifying 3B from 2014 (there were 24), only one had a fielding percentage worse than .939 (Cleveland's Lonnie Chisenhall - .931). But defense has never seemed to be of great importance to the Brewers. The Brewers five run outburst has been completely offset by five unearned runs for the Reds.
This team is going nowhere. Listening to Bob and Joe you can hear the disgust in the voices.
These players are getting paid way too much for the product they perform on the field.
If they lose tomorrow night, then RR needs to go ASAP and for that matter Doug Melvin too.
Ueck and Joe seem to by trying their best to keep the mood up.But yeah the disgust is there. They keep mentioning that things will get better and the Crew will snap out of this. But man, it's got to be tough for them to do their jobs during such a dismal time. Ueck of course has been here before but really its never been this bad of a start ever for this franchise. Never a 2-12 start in 45 years. Heck last night they score 10 runs but still lose by 6. Starting players getting all sorts of injuries.Giving up 2 grand slams in back to back innings. Every game we reach a whole new rock bottom.
What's in the farm system? The guys they got for Gallardo are looking decent in Triple A. There is no use playing meaningless games this summer with a 37 year old Ramirez, a 32 year old Lind, and a bunch of pitchers over 30 (Lohse - 36, Rodriquez - 33 , Cotts -35, Garza - 31, Broxton- 31).
Hopefully they can get something before the trade deadline for a few of these guys. Even if it's just low level prospects, it would open up some playing time to find out if some of their other guys can play at a major league level.
No point in starting arby clocks for guys who really aren't ready for the show.
First change on the pitching front for struggling #Brewers. https://t.co/czjm3pr3Cr

Wooten currently sitting with a 7.11 era.....when can we order playoff tickets?
hopefully he won't suck as bad as Thornburg.
It's amazing that a team that 4 years ago had a bunch of homegrown 26-28 year old all-star level players has virtually nothing left from that group. Most of them have left and almost all have faded badly with their new teams either due to injuries or hitting the wall - Weeks, Braun, Fielder, Hart. Were they all on something that they now test for? They're basically all washed up by the time they are 31 or 32.
The pitching staff went from Greinke, Marcum, Wolf, Gallardo, and Narveson to the collection of guys they have now which is really only Peralta and Nelson that have a chance to be upper level starters.
There is not enough talent on this team to win 65-70 games if everything went right. When you lose your two most effective players in Lucroy and Gomez, it isn't surprising to see where they are at.
What's your definition of a good run?
2010 - 3rd place 14 GB - no post season
2011 - 1st place - lost in NLCS to Cards
2012 - 3rd place 14 GB - no post season
2013 - 4th place 23 GB - no post season
2014 - 3rd place 8 G B - no post season after an historically pathetic collapse even by Brewers standards
What you see this year is the result of not cleaning house at the end of last season like they should have.
