Here's the thing- over the last few years, the Patriots have had rashes of injuries like this- and still win. Wanna be in that category? Win with your QB and nothing else..
So the key to being in the category of being in the playoffs for the last 7 years and winning a Lombardi with a rash of injuries is to be in the playoffs the last 7 years with a Lombardi with a rash of injuries.
Thanks for clearing this up.
Maybe losing Lacy will force MM to get more creative in his game plans instead of just relying on Eddie to break tackles on running plays and Rodgers to break the pocket and play scramble drill.
Seeking a second opinion is never a good sign. Farts.

Quaint response- except I was talking about this week's game, not 7 years.
While I suppose your Packer fanness is superior and propped up by the idea that the Packers are the Patriot's equal, I do not share your view. Even with as much hatred as I have for them, that team has participated in as many Superb Owls (6) in the last 15 years as the Packers have in their history. 4 rings, 10 Conference Championship games, including each of the last 5. The Packers can't hold their damn jock.
But back on the team in the upcoming game, which was the gist of my post- the Patriots trot out there with QBs off the scrap heap and win with them (3-1 with Brady suspended). They have a carousel of running backs over the years, and the plug along and win. They plug in new guys, young guys, has-beens- it never seems to matter.
So go out there, and beat the f-big Bears on THURSDAY and get back on track with a MASH unit backfield and the guy who used to be the best QB in the game. Prove your like the Patriots, and start winning. You're 2 damn games behind the Vikings- beat the friggin Bears and get back in this thing.
The Patriots cheat.....plain & simple. Everything from the DVD collection (spygate) to jamming headsets of the opponents plus bugging them to putting dual speakers in Tom Bradys helmet to deflategate.
It's pretty simple but yeah let's call them the greatest team of all-time & Belichick a better coach than Lombardi. In fact, Billy B should be on the trophy not Lombardi.
Hopefully this is year 8 in a row for the playoffs but currently I have my doubts.
Can't wait to see Knile Davis fumble. It will be fabulous.
The Patriots cheat, Bama cheats, the Buckeyes cheat, Duke and Kentucky cheat... no one cares.
No excuses for this team. I don't care if they have Gnarls Barkley at running back... the Bears suck. Beat them.

Why haven't any of you used this line yet?
Good one. I have that feeling lurking in the back of my mind also.
Sad thing is that I have to leave town on a late flight Thursday night and I am not very bummed at all knowing that I will likely miss most of the game on TV.
is John Crockett deseased?
IR. Same thing.

Did he sprain his colon?
Knile Davis was the best available option for what TT was willing to give up - which sounds like close to nothing which is essentially what a 7th round pick is.
I think the key will be Don Jackson. While it would be nice to get something out of the running game, it's almost more important that whoever is playing back there knows the audibles and protection schemes. Jackson at least has been practicing with the team and should be familiar with the system. If Davis comes into the game on an obvious passing situation, I'd check to a blitz if I was the opposing defense because he's no threat in the screen game and I'd want to see if he could pick up a blitz in a protection scheme with 2 days of practice.
As bad as Rodgers has played, he's still capable of beating any team in the league (at least on specific plays- the sideline pass to Nelson on the garbage time TD drive last week is a throw maybe about 3 QBs can make). If a back blows a blitz pickup and gets Rodgers hurt, it's doubtful Hundley is going to be the second coming of Tom Brady.
I think we see a lot of Ty as the running back with 3 or 4 receiver sets....let's see if McCarthy can game plan like Belichick and design an effective game plan where the short passing game equals the run. I expect the packers to throw the ball 50 times tomorrow night. Let's hope Rodgers figured out how to become more accurate overnight.
Chicago's secondary is as banged up as ours so I'm thinking we will see both teams playing a lot of 2 deep safety look to not get beat long, so I don't expect to see many big plays in the passing game on either side.. To me the game will come down to; 1) Turnovers 2) Which QB is more accurate 3) Scoring in Red Zone 4) A ST / defensive TD by either team 5) Which team can run the ball better vs. "cover 2" look.

How. Dare. You.

no reason to blitz, just rush 3 or 4 and drop the rest. seems to be the formula to derailing the offense.
Great idea to go into a season with only one backup HB.. That being a 30 year old who is best known for getting injured. Our running game was the strenght of the offense.
Meanwhile we have 7 WR's but our passing game sucks. TT = Forrest Gump and MM = Harry Dunne.
What running back is out there available for a higher pick?
Marshawn Lynch
Trade a 4th round pick to Lazy Boy?
Isaiah Crowell or Bilal Powell.
Or how about Spiller and Forsett for no pick?
Kind of hard to go for no pick when they are on another team . You can't unburn the pizza.
Isaiah Crowell or Bilal Powell? Who are these guys and why are they available?
Both Spiller and Forsett were on the street when Starks' injury was apparently bothering him.
Crowell is a pretty solid young back for Cleveland who is, once again, in rebuild mode.
Powell is a decent runner, has good size and and very solid receiver for the Jets behind matt Forte.
Mike Gillislee from the Bills may also be available.
