Aaron Rodgers was in exceptional form that game.......dang near every throw was as precise as it could be.  Just so awesome to watch.  Wow.....if he wouldn’t have gotten hurt......the Packers looked unstoppable in that game, and would have been very hard to beat all year.  They were 4 - 1 going into that game.  Wow, just wow.  He really is a gawd.

My guess is that Goldie was "excited" after viewing his prowess in this game, hence the 'going down' for the title....

Dang right I was, and good seeing ya Timmy.

Looked unstoppable at 4-1?  They had plenty of struggles with AR pulling most of those wins out of the fire.  They were plenty vulnerable and that was before the annual injury wave arrived.

No joke. GB was darn lucky to pull out some of those games. It was a deceptive 4-1; by the end of the year it was evident that the teams we beat at the start weren't special: Seattle (17-9), Cincinnati (27-24), Chicago (35-14), Cowboys (35-31). Even Atlanta, the one loss (34-23) turned out to be underwhelming.

Do either of you think the Packers miss the playoffs if Rodgers plays all 16?

While agree "unstoppable" isn't accurate - You can pretty much pencil in the Pack in the playoffs if Rodgers plays all 16.

Christ, he almost single handedly beat the Panthers while his Def. Co was giving it up like a 2 dollar whore

No, I don't disagree. Pack makes the playoffs, especially with an early 4-1 record (however it was achieved). But as per the past several years, GB bows out early when Rodgers can't rescue them from the D. And the cycle would have continued. Perhaps one of the best things to happen last year (other than finding a couple of backs) was that the D was exposed to the point that MM could no longer ignore how incompetent Compers was. And he finally pulled the plug on the Wizard.

I believe last year's painful season will bring this season's rewards.  Sucks that it took that to open eyes at 1265, but FORWARD!   And please make me enjoy watching the Packers play defense again, Pettine.  If you can do that, you will bring joy to this older guy who loves defensive football, and first 20 beers are on me.

I'll add another 10 beers if you can make our D feared again. I got the feeling that other QBs couldn't wait to play GB because even if they lost their stats would get boosted.

Not every QB is Pad Statford.
