Already in Brewer Forum. https://packers.timesfour.com/...announcer-has-passed
He appeared about 100 times on the Tonight show with Johnny Carson. Johnny just loved him.
Need to reset 2025.
Oh, hell. Just goes to prove that the good die young. Uke was forever young, and he'll be escorted to his seat in forever's front row.
R.I.P.
RIP to a legend!
He was a National Treasure and great ambassador for baseball. Fans of all teams loved Bob. A great article today in The Athletic about him. RIP.
SOB!! π₯π’
90 is a full life...but it always sucks because it reminds us all of our mortality. I remember listening/watching BU when I was a kid...he seemed like an old man then. Father time is undefeated boys...
Again, RIP to a national treasure.
Legend. RIP.
Damn.

Hopefully up in the clouds he's got his elusive front-row seat. Lov' ya Bob.
The way to catch a knuckleball is to wait until it stops rolling and then pick it up.
Itβs a sad day for multiple generations of fans.
The one guy that made the Brewers tolerable.
He had a bit of Rodney Dangerfield in him
I just come here for @Iowacheese baseball nowlege
Summer evenings in Wisconsin will never be the same.

I was just thinking about that recently. He was one of a few who could leave Johnny in a total loss of bodily control. Albert Brooks could and Steven Wright to a degree, but BU destroyed Johnny while keeping a straight face.
My fondest memory was a normal weekday afternoon. I was living in the Fox Cities. My better half had a hair color appointment to go to that she said would be an hour or so. I flipped through the radio dial, and found a Brewers game starting. I laughed my way through 3 hours of baseball with BU. Didn't even realize how long she had really taken. I was at the ballpark with Bob. That's all that mattered.
the voice of the brewers for what seems my entire life
three cheers and a hip hooray for a life well lived and for ALL the entertainment!!
hats off to you, Bob
Get up, get up, and get out of here (Heaven would be lucky to have a treasure like Bob Uecker).

Same for me. I began listening to Brewers games in 1978 when Uecker and Harmon were the Brewers radio broadcasters (I think).
Even 40+ years later listening to Uecker would sort of remind me of late 1970s, early 1980s Brewer baseball which was one of my favorite eras of life. Losing him is like losing another connection to that wonderful period in the past.
