Like so many others here, I also listened to Jim and Max religiously on Sundays. They made even bad Packers football of the 70s and 80s entertaining and fun. They were the football version of Uecker. When the play on the field was bad, they could tell stories that were endlessly entertaining and left one looking forward to the next game. Jim also had an appreciation for the rivalry games like Chicago and MN and he amped up his calls for those games. I still mute the TV and listen to Wayne and Larry, but, to me, Jim and Max WERE Packers football. I am so happy Jim and Max were able to stay together long enough to be there for us during the 90s resurrection and ultimately the championship season.

Rest in Peace, Jim Irwin. Thanks for the awesome memories.
