Former Packers DB Mike C. McCoy passed away. He was 62 and suffered from dementia. Don't really remember him as a big hitter, but in those days you played when your bell was rung.

Wow! I was acquainted with Mike McCoy back in the early 90s when I worked at CU. He was a friend of one of my best buddies out here and I got to know him as a casual friend.
Mike was not that big. About 6' 185 with spindly legs and bad knees. Real nice guy. He was working in the Mailroom for CU as a handler. Every so often he would drop off the mail at my office and we'd talk some Packers news.
Turns out he lived in Lafayette and had lost his home and most of his $$ in his divorce. He was deciding to go back to school and get a degree in sports medicine. Last I heard he was up in Vail at the big sports clinic. Mike was a good man and always smiling. He Loved the Packers and Green Bay. Enjoyed going to the golf tournament up there too.
