Today's Vikings vs. Packers game will probably not be the last NFL game Brett Favre(notes) plays. It should be, though, because at this point, Favre can't do anything for the Vikings franchise other than continue to pilot their dizzying plunge into a foul pit of football sewage.

The Vikings played their fiercest rival today in a game they had to win to keep alive their dim playoff hopes. Not only did they lose; they were destroyed. Embarrassed. Torn apart. The contrast between the beaten-down, ineffective Favre and the energetic, playmaking Aaron Rodgers(notes) could not have been more stark.

The legend of Favre is dead, and Aaron Rodgers killed it.

6 million dollars, a self serving ego, and a wife who likely wants it cut off will keep him in MinnyVille another 6 weeks.

Then not just Packer fans, but NFL fans, can truly see the end of seeing his sorry ass on Sundays ever again.

It's over, Vikings. Let it be over with whatever small amount of dignity is left.

Putting Favre on the sidelines is the kind, compassionate thing to do. This entire year, on and off the field, has been an absolute disaster for the man.

What do you want to see? Favre's historically great career ending with him standing on the sidelines, trying to pass some of his knowledge to a younger quarterback? Or do you want to see this mess dragged out for six more games, where we'll probably see about ten more Favre interceptions and more embarrassing sideline sniping and arguing like we saw today?

Ah, Yeah ... Duh!

NOTE to God: Don't know what your masterplan is for next couple of months but Thank You very kindly for the gift you've given for the last couple of months.
If Chilly is still in Minny next week, I can see him sitting Brett. I mean, there's nothing left to play for, Brett hates Chilly, fans are calling for Chilly to be fired. Why would he want to play Brett just to keep his streak alive?? Bench him Chilly

This guys life maybe falling apart. His football career, marriage, and legacy maybe ruined. If the NFL ties the text and picture to him and TOG is no longer a money maker for the NFL no telling what may happen.

Just a hunch: The Watch that Bert Dick is wearing will give him away ... it looks like the same watch he has been wearing the last couple of years in his press conferences.
I thoroughly enjoyed Brent's HOF performance today! All the Brent syncopates have started to jump ship after vigorously defending him all season. It was sweet and I hope he gets his ears beat off the next 6 weeks. I do hope that beat the Bores but other than that 4-12 sounds perfect!

As much as the Bears didn't need the Pack to win, great game anyways.

You're right about him being benched. Whats good for the team is that he gets benched. Should be an interesting week to follow the vikings.
They won't bench him. If anything he'll unceremoniously "retire" with an "injury" and they'll place him on IR or something. Either that or he completes the "death" by simply walking off the team.
I have heard on stuff like green and gold today and packer insider that TOG does not have a life outside football. That is why he did not retire, he does not know what to do with himself. Other then his photography hobby that is.

"That's not my job." Remember he told us that statement in 2005-06

I think he teaches by offering what NOT to do. At least I think that's what Rodgers got out of him. I liked the stories from last year about Rodgers having team gatherings at his house, hanging out with the guys, etc.
Chilly was all buddy buddy when Brint was still a Packer. He enabled Brext thru the whole process coming to the Queenies. He won't bench him. If Chilly gets fired, I think whoever is the coach will sit him. However they do it, IR, fake injury or retire now remains to be seen.

Where's your legacy at now Bert? Talk about Karma.

Isn't that the truth?

You think about this and it goes beyond the pick he threw against the Saints last year in the NFC Championship Game.

Given how he treated the franchise, the fans, Rodgers, etc when he "left" Green Bay 3 years ago the Packers accomplished 3 goals after yesterday's game-

1) they swept the Vikings in dominating fashion
2) they banged BrINT around like a pinata
3) Rodgers got his and stepped out of BrINTs shadow
Like I have been saying my one question to TOG would be "Was it all really worth it?"

He has become the target of jokes...ie., on the Dan Patrick Show and Jay Leno. He looked like he was about to break down and cry yesterday. Not to mention looking old, uninspiring and broken-down. He (and it was him) became the dividing force in the Vike lockerroom, which has led to this debacle of a season.

Plus, my guess is a divorce may be on the horizon after his NFL career is over.

And sadly, the love Packer fans had for him is mostly gone. Destroyed by the way he acted, lied and carried out his vengeful plan to "stick it to TT".
