I'm seriously considering a road trip to Green Bay (from PA) should the Pack get to the Super Bowl. My stepson and I discussed a year ago, that if they go back in 2011 we would drive up and immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the hometown fans.

I read yesterday that last year the Atrium and restaurants were closed on SB Sunday- is this what I should expect this year as well? Seems like they'd draw a great crowd if they showed the game in the stadium, no?

Just wondering if anyone has any relevant info to pass along, and looking to put a gameplan together..any help is much appreciated!

Seriously, the atmosphere around the whole state leading up to SB XLV was awesome. You'd have a great time if you came up to GB. I'm sure the Stadium View and other sports bars around Lambeau are open. I'd imagine getting a hotel wouldn't be too hard, but maybe a lot of folks do what you're thinking about as well.

It's kinda funny, I've laid out this plan to friends and co-workers, and they almost unanimously respond by saying, "Why don't you just go to the Super Bowl in Indy?". They don't get that to this Packer fan the best place to be is in the town itself, among the fans closest to our team. I've been there a number of times, for camp, and games, but a SB visit seems like it would be a great time.

Since the Saints are clearly the best team in the NFC, you may as well not worry about it.

Back in 1993 or 1994 (forget which) Packers were in Chicago for a MNF game (monsoon game Halloween night where Favre rushed for a 39 yd TD). We went up to Green Bay to watch the game. (No monsoon in Green Bay. It was dry that night)

I think Packer fans are the only fans that will understand what artis is wanting to do.
