I'm glad. I wanted the Rockies anyway.

Bye Cubs. Hope you enjoyed your WS win last year

I absolutely enjoyed the World Series win in 2016.  Wasn't certain I'd ever see one.  And while bowing out this year so quickly wasn't/isn't ideal, I still cherish/smile and the World Championship two years ago.  It was unbelievable!!

That said, good luck to the Brewers.  I will be rooting for the winner of the Brewers/Rockies series to hoist the WS trophy later in the month.  I won't call myself a fan of either, but I'll definitely be rooting for either (so maybe that makes me a little bit of a fan).

I've been a lifelong Cubs fan and lifelong Packers fan (don't ask, too long to explain).  And I find it interesting that so many Brewers fans hate the Cubs/Cubs fans.  And so many Cubs fans hate the Brewers/Brewers fans.  I guess I'm in the minority, but I don't really have any long lasting angst the Milwaukee.  They only recently became a rivalry when the Crew moved to the NL.  And even then, it's not too often both teams are good at the same time.  And neither team has had sustained success in my lifetime.  As a Chicagoan/Illinoisan, I guess it's a border thing.

The thing I find funny is that are there really any opposing fans that fans of any team thinks are great.  Cards?  Nope.  Pirates? Nope. Cincy?  Not really.  Does anyone like Yankees, Dodgers, or Red Sox fans?  Doubtful. Generally when an opposing team is good, we don't like them or their fans.

Anyway, good luck to the Brewers and Brewers fans.  Should the win the Pennant, it will truly be an unbelievable feeling.  And should they win the World Series - well, words really can't describe it.
