Australian-born actor Rod Taylor, who had a fairly prolific career in Hollywood in the 1960s, has died at the age of 84. Among Taylor's best known movies would be The Birds, in which he starred opposite Tippi Hedren (pictured above). There's also The Time Machine, in which Taylor played HG Wells' time traveler who goes 800,000 years into the future.
Taylor played the bad guy opposite James Garner in 36 Hours, as a Nazi trying to get vital secrets about the planned D-Day invasion out of Garner. Taylor's last role was as Winston Churchill in Inglourious Basterds in 2009.
