Having listened to it, it more sounded like he didn't think Clifton was really an option and was just being diplomatic. Especially the "I love Cliff, so I would never not want to see him up here."

A fan-boy GM who called into Wilde's show earlier in the day wondering if the Packers might consider bringing Clifton back.
Cliffy is done. Good LT's don't grow on trees. If he had anything left in the tank he'd already be on a roster somewhere.
And GB is not even in need of a LT right now. If for some reason Newhouse goes down Lang swings to the LT spot and Barclay goes to RT. I actually feel better about a somewhat out of place Lang at LT than an out of football shape old Cliffy there.

Let's hope he doesn't go down that path. First he wanted a trade for Lynch in 2010, now he wants Cliffy back. I think what we'll see next are dong shots floating around the web and a rift with Ted that leads to Rodgers being traded to the Jets for Tebow.

Actually, if you listen to the interview Wilde and Rodgers chuckled about him playing GM.
