Do we really, Pack-Boy? It's been a while since we last saw a young player take the beating poor EDS has had to endure on this board, but if I remember clearly, he was coming along at the end of the year.

BURN HIM!!!

WITCHES~
Let's see if GB grabs another Center besides the UDFA guy Patrick Lewis

Tretter won't be ready till November/December. PUP until Nov and then IR after that

C Tretter's agent, Alan Herman, says Tretter broke his ankle yesterday during fumble recovery drill. Herman expects him to miss six months...

It's almost funny how snake bitten this team is with injuries. It's not even June yet, for chrissakes.

Well, something is going on. I think the Packers are beating the law of averages when it comes to injuries.

The most under rated stat is games played.

Tretter's agent said:

“It’s like they’re trying to slide into second base and he got his cleat caught and his ankle rolled over and broke,” Herman said. “Why they’re practicing a fumble drill, I don’t know. There’s not supposed to be contact. That’s a silly drill. Why have big 300-pound guys slide like that in OTAs?”

Wow does that suck! So it's EDS and Van Roten @ center?

Activated from the PUP list today. Returned to practice. Bryan Collins released from practice squad.

Dont expect to see him in a game this year. But good to see him practicing. 3 weeks to activate him to the roster starts today.

The Buffalo/Finger Lakes revolution is coming.

(I'm going to live vicariously through Tretter these next few seasons and will scold anyone who criticizes anything about his play. Hope that's cool with you.)

Oh....all balloons, seashells and  sunshine.

Rube.

THE REALITY IS TRETTER SUCKS....THE PACKERS SUCK....THOMPSON SUCKS.....FAT BOY MCCARTHY SUCKS.......AND.....WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!!!!

Yes, and Jeebus spake unto me, and said, "Ho! Go ye forth and collect your just rewards from the masses!"

So, since you're all going to die anyway, and Jeebus spoke to me, please send your seed-faith dollars to....

Hey, you know we can't win with centers from the Ivy League  (or so I learned on this board....where is that guy, btw?)

I think it will have to depend on what EDS's contract demands are. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on him, but if he's asking a fair price I would re-sign him. Rodgers really likes him and that bond between QB/C is very important. Tretter has barely seen the field, if at all, as a pro so I would be leery of putting all my eggs in 1 basket with him. I'm sure he's very smart and he may know the offense as well as anyone, but he needs to prove he can put the concepts on paper to practical use.

Will EDS take a 3 year deal, front loaded, so that GB can transition to Tretter after the 2014 season?

I could see them going with Tretter, Garth Gerhart, and G Van Roten going into TC. As for veteran back-up, they can move Lang over if whoever of the three that wins the job gets hurt.
