What do you mean by anything? Cheez samich count?

Harris, Lacy and Franklin.
the rest can all go IMO
Yep, Green is in trouble. In his highlights this dude does look like a taller thinner version of MJD.
Outside of Dujuan Harris if I were a RB on the Packers roster I would be concerned. They already cut ties with Saine and my guess is that Starks and Kuhn are next. Green is going to have to fight like hell to keep a roster spot.
I count around 20. The other 33 should be up for grabs
Matthews
Nelson
Jones
Cobb
Bulaga
Lang
Sitton
Raji
Williams
Shields
Burnett
Masthay
Goode
No doubt that he was top of the board for us and a great value pick. Addressed G/C in the previous pick of Tretter. Just like TT to load up if the talant is there. Much happier to have a second RB that can shine than add a WR here.
It speaks to the depth at RB and the devaluation of the position that Franklin lasted to here. Five years ago, he would have been picked a round or two earlier.
Man... Lacey lined up behind Rodgers, Franklin or Harris off to the right... Finley on the left side, Quarless on the right.... Jones or Nelson split off to the right... they can run any one of a half dozen plays out of that set; a DC won't know who to send out on the field. McCarthy's going to stay up until 3 AM every night for the next month with his crayons.

Where is Cobb in this scenario??
Im wondering if the UCLA OL is that good or the playcalling is genius. on many hes catching swing passes and bolting down the sidelines
Alot of the runs, he doesnt get touched until the secondary. Also didnt show the same level of tackle breaking ability as Lacy. Im glad some are gaga over this pick, but just from his highlight tapes I havent seen too much yet. cant wait to see what he can do in preseason

This, is how you get Cobb into that scenario.

watching his highlight video the thing that keeps sticking out to me (especially the many, many plays vs Rice) is that theres so much wide open space for him to run.

I actually thought he did show alot of tackle breaking ability, although I do agree there were quite a few untouched runs.

Johnathan Franklin said he learned today he will be able to participate in OTAs. He graduated last June.

“I really don't read newspapers, so I didn't have a clue. I just found out today,” Franklin said Friday morning, in advance of the team’s first rookie practice. “I was graduated this past season. I had my degree already. I think it was just a miscommunication."
Hmmm...A wise guy, eh?

hmm...... with McKnight in the mix now and a subpar preseason is Franklin a lock for the roster?
I don't see them giving up on a 4th rounder after just one preseason. If they give up on one of the RBs, I think it's Green that goes, even before Starks.
I think Starks goes before Green.
McKnight with ST's ability is big actually. No questions TT & MM like "Multiples" (players that play in multiple positions)
softball
McNight's workout probably says more about Jeremy Ross than Franklin although Franklin hasn't done squat.
Franklin needs to rediscover electricity
"Bring me my loofah!"
FWIW....
Anyone who thinks Joe McKnight would improve the running game hasn't seen him play. He's as good a RB as Jeremy Ross is a WR.
Has Rodney seen Franklin play? Virtually nothing in the running game and even less in pass protection. That said, it would be totally out of character for TT to give up on a relatively high draft choice this early and don't see that. TT is just exploring all options and leaving no stone unturned by looking at McKnight.
It's not likely, but it's not out of the realm of possibility. Remember Cory Rodgers? I think he was a 4th or 5th rounder. Caleb Schlauderoff was a 5th or 6th rounder. Both gone before the season started. To me it's not that Franklin has been bad, he just hasn't found a niche yet. He's looked good on screen passes, but that can't be the only thing you do well.
I think it boils down to whether or not they think they can gt Franklin on the PS. If not, he's gets at least a few more weeks on the 53.
I'd be shocked if Franklin cleared waivers. That's why I think there's very little chance he gets released.
Cory Rodgers was the only 4th round pick cut by Ted, and he was terrible in camp. Franklin hasn't done much, but he hasn't been terrible.

This is were I am now as well. #FlipFlop
Help me out on this guy. He only got 30 carries last year but averaged 6 YPC. Why didn't he get more chances? 4.5 YPC for his career but only 3.1 in 2011. He had a 61 yard run that inflated his average last year but still 4.0 for the rest of his carries.
1 fumble but I don't think it was a butt fumble? He doesn't show up at all for the Jets preseason rushing, receiving or KO return stats. Forgotten man or injured?
