I had a dream......
Why waste him as a blocker. That guy would lead the league in catches as a WR.
Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. NFL history is littered with "looks like Tarzan plays like Jane" guys. James is a physical freak, sure, but there's nothing in his career that confirms he'd bounce back up after getting drilled a few times.
The guy was a big time football player in High School. I think he would have been fine.
was beaming with pride when I stated to my 11 y/o boy "I just can't stand Lebron James' game, he's got no class" and he fired back "I don't like him either". such a good kid. and then Lebron went and showed us both why again in Game 4 - I loved the way Curry was looking at him at the end after LJ had grabbed and held to try and corral him on the out of bounds pass.
LJ, great physical specimen, all kinds of tools, 2 cent attitude, no leadership.
and the pathetic NBA suspends Green for a game for what LJ started? ridiculous.
Saw that tussle between James and Green. Pathetic for the NBA to suspend Green.
Well, I took one thing out of that tussle. The ease with which James threw Green to the ground, I think Boris is right. Make him block as a TE.
Green wasn't suspended for just this latest act, it was an accumulation of infractions (some major - the kick to Adams' nutsack, some minor - the scuffle with James). Green is a punk IMO.
Right, yet with a knee and a full blooded kick to poor Mr Adams, no suspension. Come within a foot of Lebron's junk, however?
There was nothing called on the court. The "League" decided this was a flagrant. It wasn't.
It's L. BRON Hubbard realizing he's about to lose his FIFTH finals series, so he's doing what he can to get into Greens head because his team isn't good enough.
Better head back to South Beach you bitch.
Dean Lowry doesn't get enough love from Packers fans for the career year he's having. He's been bull rushing offensive linemen all season. pic.twitter.com/2T58lBR8dd

Like a lot of d-line play, his success has been directly tied to who is blocking him. This is the Lions third string center. This is why depth and coaching on o-line is so critical. Last game I attended at Lambeau was vs. Seattle and they had a back up guard playing. Mike Daniels just abused him and wrecked the game. Health of opponents o-line is something to follow into playoffs.
It's also a one-trick pony. All a stout OL has to do is have a good set and Lowry might as well be pushing against a brick wall. He has to have more than one move.
He's had a good year FOR HIM but he certainly hasn't lived up to the contract extension they gave him.
He is normally a 2 or 3 sack per year guy with 5 QB hits. He got 5 sacks this year with 9 QB hits (extra game too). That's a decent year, and we need that out of his contract, but I'm celebrating it.
Agree his contract doesn't quite fit the production. His sacks have probably improved because of Gary's improvement in applying pressure and Clark's greatness this year. Yes, I'm celebrating it as well.
Statistically speaking, Lowry may have had his best season this year. His tackles are on par with 2018 and 2019, his TFLs (5) matches his career best, and his sack total (5) and passes defensed (4) are career highs.
At least this year, when noticed he was doing something positive. Seemed like other years when noticed it was more negative.
Lowry has had a good year but he is what he is - a solid DL that is limited athletically. In general, his 2021 season is about what you'd want from him.
I checked his 2021 cap hit - $3.8m. That's pretty good price for what he gave the Packers in 2021. In 2022 though, his cap hit is $7.9m. It's going to be hard for him to deliver on that salary.
Draft DL, then WR.
He is good enough to win vs. backups .... saw it last week, as soon as third string center came in he bullrushes him to the QB. Had a couple other games in middle of the season where he did the same to back up guards. If he can protect his gap vs good o-lineman and not get washed out, that is about the best we can hope for from him.
Front office continues to fail at fielding a team with top tier players at ever position.

Problem is cutting him is almost $4 million in dead cap. Honestly I think the best move for him next year is to add a couple years and restructure. He's only 28 so he's got a couple more serviceable years to lose his job to someone else.
