Defense for first 3 quarters

Rodgers in the second half

Hyde

Perry was good again

Finley icing it

Eddie Lacy

AJ Hawk (can't remember the last time he was a +)

Injuries

Pass blocking in first half

Rodgers in the first half

4th quarter defense

Kuhn not knowing the rules

(+)

Literally everything about the defense. Yeah that 4th and 21 sucked but it was clearly flukey.

Run game - (in happy gilmore voice): "Packers learned how to run, uhh ohhh!"

Rodgers won a game by 2 pts. That play to Finley on 3rd was incredible. He earned that win after a so-so performance up to that point.

(-)

Is the consensus that Cobb is done for the year? Or is there some hope?

McMillian on that 4th down was brutal. Didn't have a particularly good game otherwise either.

Linebackers step up in Matthews absence, especially Hawk.

Lacy with another 100yd game.

Injuries!! (I know injuries are part of the games, but the Packers have been especially plagued the last few years.)

AJ Hawk definitely was a positive.  Played very, very well.  Perhaps CMIII was holding him back?  Lots of game balls on the defensive side today.

Still concerned that being so two dimensional on offense is holding the team back.

After Lacy's last run, Packers GM Ted Thompson, seated behind us, slammed his hand in excitement.

McCarthy describes Micah Hyde as "definitely the frontrunner" for officially winning the punt return job.

Sounds like WR James Jones dodged a bullet with his injury. He's indicated to people that he's OK.

Who would you prefer out of that draft, Mario Williams is a stiff, Bush has never lived up to the billing, Michael Huff??????, or how about Vernon Davis, I wouldn't take him or Brickshaw. But I guess Hawk is an easy target for the haters

This was a big boy win.  Maybe the best regular season win of MM's tenure given all the injury adversity. Kudos to both lines for coming up big when it mattered.  IMO nothing beats physical football and to see our team evolving in that direction is exciting stuff.

Vince Young supposedly tweeted today that he's healthy and ready to play for his hometown team in Houston.

It's right up there with the 34-0 win over the Vikings in 2007 (week after Peterson set the yardage record) and that 9-0 road victory over the Jets in 2010 when they just about as beat up as they are now.

Big Ern in the red zone with the dagger.

I've graduated him to average/borderline capable starter.  His pass protection is still weak but you can win a Superbowl with a good scheme and balanced offense.  Showed some signs of life on running for tough yards up the gut.  Lacy, Franklin, Starks (when healthy) with a smothering defense (tweaks to safety, Hayward coming back)?  Great Googly moogly.

Defensive line impressed the hell out of me.  Just getting better.  It's a Jolly time defense.

Henry has a a man-crush!  Henry has a man-crush!

JK!

+ AJ Hawk, not just sacks, bone crunching hits all day.

+ entire DL run defense.

+ oline , run blocking only.

+ Eddie Lacy.

- McMillan in the 4th.. Please put in Banjo.

- MM stuborness. Play calling and still going 3 WR when Jones went out.. AQ > Boykin.. Go two TE set and pound the rock, Mike.. He was forced to do so after Cobb sent out and we started rolling.

- #12, accuracy is off, clock mgt.  Need more from him.

Crosby again, DL is dang good right now, House, Shields, Burnett and Hyde, Hawk (who is that guy and what has he done with Hawk?), LACY, Jordy, Finley, Perry, Mastey, No Buck and no Aikman, Play Action makes a huge reappearance, good refs, holding ravens to 2-17 3rd downs, final drive to close em out

_

INJURIES (snakebit), Pass Protection, losing Charles Johnson off the practice squad same week as losing Cobb, mcmillon (again)

Eddie Lacy  is 1st rookie to rush for 99+ yards in consecutive games since 1971 (John Brockington)

Jerron McMillian said the didn't get a defensive play call in on the TD to Dallas Clark after the long pass the play before.

Davon House said the took him out on defense because they were playing nickel on early downs and he is a punt jammer. Not benched.

Mike Daniels: “I don’t ever want to hear that s-word around here again. You know what I’m talking about."

(soft)

New at JS: Cobb, Jones injuries might not be as bad as they looked

Unlike Samson who crashed and burned after a haircut The Hawk vastly improved....does MM bring hair clippers into the locker room next week?  I can think of a few dreaded up guys that it could help.  And maybe, just maybe it could get #52 back on the field sooner.

Positive. DL, Hawk, secondary play since Burnett returned. Goal line stand. Lacy. Rodgers coming up big when he needed to. Viking fan quote from Star Tribune, "Josh Freeman is demanding a trade to Tampa Bay"

I've seen the end to that movie too many times.

I ain't getin' my hopes up---it's better that way.

Really?  They rushed 3 on their own?  C'mon, Jerron.  How hard is it to know on 3rd and 21, dont' let the guy run behind you?

Does anybody know what this means?

Plus

Hyde played well on D, knows how to return punts (decisive, runs forward not sideways)

Lattimore had several nice open field tackles

Lacy - the big, punishing back who can pound it, difference between a win and a loss

Crosby - missed one, but all his makes this year have split the uprights

Hawk - inspired play,  blitzed well, playing faster with less bulk this year

Minuses

Kuhn - says he was trying to make a play, uh OK

pass pro a problem against strong D-lines, although we've faced some of the best so far

Boykin - early drops, although a few throws to him were rushed and off target

predictable quick TD by Ravens once we got a sizable lead

injuries - I optimistically predict 1-2 games out for both

Ultimately, who gives a ****, we won in Baltimore for the first time since I was 9.

I believe he's saying he just got done running on special teams when the defense came on the field and they were letting him catch his breath.

+++

Lacy- did it all.  Showed some quickness, speed, power, and smarts at the end not running OOB.

Run D- Ray Rice is a top 3 back and they basically limited him to about 2 YPC.  Ridiculous!

Hawk- what got into that guy?  Easily his best game as a GBP.

Crosby- more good than bad.  He kept us in the game and made the kicks.

---

Kuhn- two bonehead plays that could have cost them.

McMillan- similar to Kuhn, two inexcusable breakdowns at the end.

Jones and Cobb injuries- hope they aren't out too long.

All these reports of good news are probably just regurgitated takes on this one quote:

"McCarthy said. "I'm hopeful for good information tomorrow once we get him back."

Which is classic MM speak for "he'll go on IR and prolly be on the PUP to start next year."

I don't think they are additional confirmations that the news is good.

Negative: Turns out AR12 is human, with pressure he's like every other QB in league.  Got to get that protection more solid as mover forward.

The play action however was awesome, offense will continue to evolve and should be clicking come playoffs
