I'm not sure I can recall a team being more Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde than the Saints within a game. Over the course of a season. amybe, but to play so hot/cold so many different times during a game is....strange.
The Saints look like they'll probably blow this one, good. It's good to let the Packers know that the teams they struggle to beat are terrible. Maybe it'll help them realize just how bad they are and how badly it needs to change.

I don't know; the Packers looked pretty good in the first half and pretty ****ty in the second half.

No, they are bad. Good teams don't blow 18 point leads to bottom feeders. They need to realize they're bad (just like they did in 2009 when they were 4-4 after the loss to the winless Buccaneers) and start thinking about what they can do to change it.
That's not bad, that's average. Bad is the Cleveland Browns or Jaguars. This team is playing like an 8-8 team right now. Average to below average D + average offense
Whatever you want to call it, things have to change.
Yeah.... It's not like this is the type of team that has overcome adversity before.

So, Gates dinking that guy on the crossing route is pass interference, but Tate shoving our guy to the ground in the endzone is not PI.

The refs as a whole are blowing calls... In this game, our game, and the game last week v the Saints... And I bet it's league wide.
Blown calls and inconsistent calls. What is a penalty in one game is a non-call or call going the other way in another.

Agree.
Isn't is amazing what a pass rush can do to win a game....and this a Saints team that had virtually no pass rush the first four games.
Finally!! At least we can go into the bye week with a win. Now the Saints D can know that it's okay to have a pass rush and use it.
Tonight's game just makes the fact that Rodgers wasn't sacked last week even more of a head scratcher.

Congrats on the win. I guess the NFL felt sorry for you guys because I was certain they were going to call the "tuck rule" on the final play of strip/sack on Rivers to give the Chargers another shot.
Sure looked eerily similar to the tuck rule. I would've called tuck rule. We must protect the shield and continue to generate interest in the game. It's important!

The "tuck rule" only applies to a Golden Boy like Tom Brady. Phillip Rivers is too country and too combative to fit that role.
