Morgan Burnett telling us that Sam Shields is back?
You want to see him in the Green & Gold next season?

If he's finally cleared, does he revert back to his old contract of 9 mil per year?

Does he have a suspension to serve? (can't recall).

With a neck injury and potential for a serious spinal cord injury, I would agree. But if he actually cleared the concussion protocal. can the NFL still prohibit him from playing? I think he'd be idiotic to try and play again. But then again, players like Luke Kuechly and Welker kept playing despite equal or even higher concussions.

With a new sheriff in town, I wouldn't put it past Guke to bring him back into TC. It's not like there is a back log of quality corners on this team.

If he wants to play and still has the talent to do so, I'm all for it.  It's his body, his decision and his income.

Like every other player, I don't want to hear about all the injuries and ailments after retirement.  They all know exactly what they are doing and get paid quite well to do it.

You just want to be entertained. Right? **** him. He’s getting paid riches to try and give you pleasure. Whatever the **** happens to him happens. Just don’t disappoint you. That would suck.

No skid mark... That's not even close to what I said.  Shields has the freedom to choose if he wants to play the game of football or not.  There are risks involved and he is well aware of them.  If he does, good for him.  If he doesn't, good for him.  Nobody is forcing him to do anything.  He'll have to live with whatever decision he makes well after his athletic ability isn't worth millions of dollars.  Let me know if I need to bust out the crayons.

So are you all for him playing or not? It’s kind of what you said. I mean, I get it’s his decision. But are YOU all for it?

I think the medical stuff was real.  So if he was concussion prone I don't think that changes.  Questions about health and how well he will play are real too.  He has at least earned a look by the Packers to see where he is if SS wants it.  Then I think SS & the Pack go from there.  I don't really think anyone knows enough to know if he is back or not.  But if it all works out, then I would want him back.  Even if we did draft a shut down corner and SS & DH were on the bench, that would be the veteran bench Dix was talking about.  But that means we sign Morgan Burnett since we would be passing on a really good safety.
