He's probably posting more to make it look more active to the new prospective owner(s)...or, it's already gone, and he's a mere player. In either case, it's a good move. This place sucks. Too much OT, not enough Packer talk. <--

Scoop can post so long as he is having fun and posting at a high level. Sure he makes some bonehead interjections from time to time, but look at his surrounding cast.He has put this board on his back and carried it to victory many times.

But there is something fishy going on becuase soon after he started posting about the Nigerian opportunity, Green Bay signed a RB from ...Nigeria.

i couldn't blame him if he did ... his mods don't get enough seperation.

I guess with his "ship coming in" he may have more time to hang around "the house that CATTS built".

I'd like to suggest a nice lake cruise for a retirement party.

Somehow it has to be Sherman's fault.

But, do you expect him to honor his contract? BTW, who is his agent? Not Oshbal, is it?

Scoops turnovers are up, but he's got a couple more years left in the tank. Brak doesn't have the keyboard strength to go downfield as much.

I think something has changed in scoop's posts - I just don't see the fire in his typing that used to be so evident. It's like he's lost focus or something.

Personally, I believe he spends a great deal of time thinking "Why in the world did I come back to THIS?"

I have seen him post in threads that looked like he could have run with the argument only to let up and pass it to someone. We would have never have seen that in his earlier years.

Yeah, Scoop used to run to those arguments, now he just types a knee.

The guy can fit a post in the smallest of openings, but lets face it, he's been around long enough to know better on some of those.

He does make some posters better than they really are though.

Do you think his talk of retirement has become a distraction to the group?

Maybe Scoop needs to just do a little more offseason training.

But what help is Groupee giving him. They could have picked up some strong posters from other sites or introduced a new posting phenom....but no, they have to go a pick a possible successor, who none of us hope sees the forum for years to come.

Groupee is driving him out, I heard them talking about it on ESPN.


OH, the way, had he not stuck his nose into my holdout earlier this offseason, people wouldn't be as down on him as they are now.

If Scoop decides to retire, I for one will wish him well and hope he enjoys his time chartering some cruises...

Scoop should either retire or just get cut from this board. His posts haven't been the same since signing that big contract extension during his free agent year.

I'll never forget the time ZBud made a post that used an incomplete sentence.

Champ(less) and vg posted for eight days that scoop had done it first.

Does he have the numbers for the HOF? Was he actually the best at his position for a decade or so? I think he does/was. The question is though will he make it his first time up. I think it really depends who is on the ballot at the same time and who the vets committe gets on. Some votes might slip away to LIONHEART and other CHOKe ArtiSts.

McGinn reports that an anonymous scout from another board believes scoop is no longer a "blue". "You can tell he just can't lock all of threads he used to. His mind is telling him to do some things his fingers no longer can do."

But then again, Scoop was responsible for 4-26, Joe Johnson, the firing of the genius Donatel, promoting Slow-Wit, Hunt being a slacker, and that darn pick 10 DE from FL who never panned out (was his name Jamal Reynolds?). Shame on him.

I think Scoop has a handle on this salary cap thing. That's what allows him to re-sign his key free agents without having to overpay other talent acquisition.

Look, why do we have to keep rehashing all this retirement talk cr%%? Scoop's had a great career. He restored the glory of X4, and made it Titletown once again. He still has time left. Why not just sit back and enjoy what he has to give? Doesn't he deserve that?

Finally, I don't care that TT drafted Embargo this year, this is still Scoop's team. And it will be until Scoop desides to hang up the keyboard. For the record, I think he will be a bust, he just put up good numbers in Tedford's internet system.

Who is #2 on the depth chart? Bezene, Legacy or TimThePackerFan? They're not going to get any better sitting on the bench.

All Scoop does is lock multiple threads regardless of quality and very rarely does he make a quality post. He has lost it. Washed up. Scoop's long post has never been accurate.

Benzene, Legacy, TimthePackerFan...they are all kept on the forum because they are Scoop's buddies, if they were on any other forum they would have been cut a long time ago.

TimthePackerFan will never be given a chance because he was a 6th round pick. They will eventually just hand the job over to the first rounder. TimthePackerFan needs a trade to be given the opportunity he needs to show that he is starting caliber.

Has anyone stopped to consider that having the joint resposonsibilities of being owner/president/general manager/coach and starting quarterback is just too much for one man? That's even more power than Mike Holmgren wanted.

No one has brought up how Scoop inappropriately posted on a specific holdout (LBabe) when he should have viewed it as none of his business. Just 'cuz he says he speaks for the board shouldn't make him sabotoge a gal's right to get what's hers. That's business in this "forum" life. He should remain reticent! Let her atterny try to get the money she deserves and don't worry about it!

I really think he's as good as ever. If he was surrounded by any kind of talent at all.......
