He showed a lot to be excited about in the Cincinnati game. I wouldn't consider trading him. He brings something to the running back corps that the other guys don't.

Hopefully his neck problem is all figured out.

Seahawks Camp Report: Day 2

By Terry Blount | ESPN.com

A daily review of the hot topics coming out of the Seattle Seahawks training camp:

The play of the day came when quarterback Russell Wilson caught a pass. The trick play started with a fake handoff before Wilson gave the ball to wide receiver Phil Bates on a reverse to the right. Wilson kept running into the left flat when Bates stopped in the backfield, turned and threw a nice pass to Wilson, who made the catch near the sideline past linebacker Mike Morgan.

It’s only the second day, but it appears the starting job at right offensive tackle is Justin Britt’s to lose. The rookie from Missouri is expected to battle Michael Bowie for the starting spot, but Bowie isn’t practicing because of a shoulder injury. Britt is taking all the first-team snaps and coach Pete Carroll praised him on Friday.

Left guard James Carpenter doesn’t look like the same player as one year ago, and that’s a good thing. Carpenter is slimmer, faster and healthier than he ever has been since coming to the Seahawks as a first-round draft choice in 2011. espn

I laughed & yelled "REACH!" when they drafted him in round 1 & I'm still laughing now. Definitely a reach in round 1

Its not a coincidence

After Pete the Cheat's favorite students boasted about it last year, the league had to act. Sherman and others admitted their strategy was to hold on every play knowing the refs couldn't possibly call all of them. That didn't sit well with the league office and Pete Carroll's track record precedes him

Random thoughts watching Seattle Denver pre season:

Expect a heavy dose of Lynch and Turbin. Read option. Jet sweep / misdirection with Harvin and Baldwin. PA pass on 1st down. Quick bubble screens to the WRs. Seattle wants no part of 3rd and long with Clay, Peppers, Daniels, Raji, Jones. Seattle OL is a hot mess in pass protection. Wilson is going to take a beating this year. He took some good shots in his two series.

Mebane and McDaniels will be a huge test for Tretter on the road.

Earl Thomas is a great, great safety.

Seattle and Denver played the starters into the second quarter clearly trying to show the SB was or wasn't a fluke. Not sure having the starters get after each other week 1 pre season into the 2nd quarter is a good long term plan. Both sides lost some players to injuries.

GB needs a TE to step up in a big way before week 1.

The number of flags thrown in this game (Seattle / Denver) was ridiculous. I hope this is a week 1 pre season emphasis thing.
