Mitchell was having a big game on June 26 -- with a home run, a double, two walks and two outfield assists -- before he appeared to injure himself on a swing in the ninth inning. Mitchell looked to grab his left hamstring before Nashville manager Rick Sweet and athletic trainer Jeff Paxson came onto the field and removed Mitchell from the game. (Last updated: June 26)

Scrubs are 16-26 on the road, Crew is 25-12 at home. Hope this trend continues.

Haha, awesome Chourio. It seems the Crew has figured out the solution to leaving runners left on base when bases are loaded and 2 outs. Hit a friggin Grand Slam!

Boy, it’s hard to keep composed seeing this last week for Chourio. It’s hard to contain my excitement for just how good Jackson might end up being. His tool box is just loaded.

Do we look back, years from now, and say that this is when he really took that step forward, and started putting it all together?

The last five games:

17 at bats, 5 runs, 8 hits, 1 double, 2 home runs, 6 RBI.

And for the month of June:

22 games, 66 AB, 12 runs, 21 hits, 3 doubles, 4 home runs, 17 RBI, 5 walks, 1 sac fly, 13 strikeouts.

.318 AVG/.361 OBP/.545/.906 OPS

Today's game is at 3:10 PM, looks like it will be on FS1, Myers on the mound, Line up below:

Crew ties it 2-2 in 3rd, still batting. Inning over tied 2-2 as we go to the 4th

Myers in trouble in 4th, but gets out of it only allowing 1 run. Cubs lead 3-2

Crew gets 1 back in 4th, now 3-3, still batting. Inning now over as Monasterio hits into a double play

Myers again in a jam in the 5th, but gets out of it, 2till 3-3.

Hudson relieves Myers in the 7th, still 3-3

Payamps relieves Hudson in the 8th, still 3-3. He promptly gives up a 2 run HR, Cubs lead 5-3, still batting.

Payamps walked the lead batter, gives up a 2 run HR to Happ, walks the next batter. Not good! No outs until Contreras threw out the runner trying to steal 2nd.

Payamps walks the next batter. Call to the bullpen has been made. See ya, Payamps. What a terrible outing, in relief.

Paredes in. 1 out with a runner on 1st.

Paredes with a wild pitch, advances the runner.

Peredes gets them out of the inning with no further damage

Bottom of 9th down 5-3, Crew needs to come alive here to try and win this one.

And that's that, Crew loses 5-3

The Crew had their chance in the 9th. They had 2 on with 1 out as I recall, but fizzled out, no last minute heroics today. Oh well, on to tomorrow and hopefully win the series.

At least the Cards also lost today so the Brewers stay 6.5 games up.

Brewers have 5 Grand Slams in the last 8 games! Padres did it in 2020.
