A bases clearing double by pinch hitter Luis Urias gives the Crew a 3-1 lead. After a ground out by Shaw and an intentional walk to Garcia, Urias scores on a wild pitch and Bradly Jr. triples to center to score Garcia. An infield single by Huria scores Bradly and the Crew now leads 6-1 and still batting in the 6th.

Fuck the Cubs.
Always.
Starting to really come together. Another great win.
Am I the only one who thinks that Baez might have accidentally on purpose threw his bat at Fastball Freddy? Lots of bad blood...
Finally got to watch a game start to finish.
Can you believe we traded Adam Lind for Fastball Freddy?
Admittedly, once they caught up to his fastball, they were knocking him around. Now thatβs heβs a 4 pitch dude, heβs dangerous again. Dude still spits fire and now heβs got a yakker and a change- if he can keep this up, the staff is really strong.

Yeah, that looked a little questionable. For a guy as talented as Baez is, man is he undisciplined at the plate.
It is encouraging to see the Brewers score some runs without needing homers to do it. I sure wish hader wouldn't have had to pitch either. We may need him later in the series.
Baez is a putz. Not quite to the extent of letβs say Molina in STL, but yeah.
Not sure why Drew Rasmussen is getting so many chances. As good as the pitching has been (overall) heβs been very shaky.
Beating Chitcago never gets old.

What I noticed was I believe it was Contreras first AB and then maybe Rizzo 3rd AB bit tried to get hit by pitch.
Urias is at it again. A 2 run homer in the 2nd tonight so far. However, the Cubs get 1 back in the 4th. Woody with 5 Ks thru 4. Brewers up 2-1 now batting in the 4th.
Fk the Cubs and their bullish!t
Wilson Contreras would make an excellent Cardinal
Tip your cap he hit that mistake by Suter a mile but Jesus you act like that after you donβt think youβre not asking for the next HBP to be on purpose.
Not a fan of show boats.
Never liked Carlos Gonzalez.
Business mans early bird special, to go along with that 4 or 10 Margarita lunch, at American Family Field. Travis Shaw has an RBI single and a solo homer today, Crew up 3-0 bottom 4.
Nice beat-down today. Burnes just had a 2 rbi single - up 7-0 in the 6th. About to take 2 out of 3 with no Cain, Yellich, or Wong in the lineup.
Burnes now at 30 strikeouts and no walks on the season.
4 hits in 18 1/3 innings.
First player in a hundred years to that
Good stuff by the Crew. Forgot it was a day game. If Shaw is the real deal, it would mean a TON to this team.
Burnes has more RBI that runs allowed. Can any other starting NL pitch claim that?
Sandy Koufax?
Doubt it. In his 12 seasons pitching he only had more than 2 RBI 4 times.
And I actually meant it to be for this season.

I could find at least one time in history where a pitcher threw enough innings to qualify for the ERA title and drove in more runs as a hitter than he gave up on the mound.
1918
Babe Ruth, 166.1 innings, 13-7, 2.22 ERA, gave up 51 runs as a pitcher and had 61 RBIs.
Saw this in the recap- the modern MLB record for Ks to start a season without a walk is Wainwright with 35 Ks or something like that. Burns has 30 right now.
Confirmation that Contreras is a punk ass DOUCHEBAG...
D BAG or not, itβs pretty stupid to admit you were trying to hit an opposing pitcher. Made it easy for MLB to take action so thanks Wilson.
They need to end batting practice and start the game already.

Which position player is going to get some innings in today?
Can they call up Lucas Erceg? Theyβre looking for him to be a 2-way player...
Get it out of your system now, fellas...

As in singular?

Daniel Robertson. 4th time pitching in his career and has yet to give up a run.
Thereβs our 5th starter!
Possibly with both Anderson and Lindblom going on the 10 day DL.
I know a lot of other guys are hitting well either, but dating back to the last part of the 2020 season including the playoffs, Keston Hiura is 18 for 132 with 3 home runs. That's not good.

Well, he's had 2 hits in his last two at-bats. That's 25% of his current season total.

Fuckin cubs batching about a high strike from Hader. It was being called multiple times while the Brewers were batting. Hader said fuck the cubs and game over.

Hiura really has been terrible this year. Hopefully something clicked with him today and springboards him to get back to being the incredibly promising hitter he once was.
