Here's a rare TT quote sighting. Nothing flashy as per the norm:

Seahawks, Packers GMs merit credit

SEAN JENSEN ON THE NFL Jan 16, 2011 02:37AM

quote:
Wolf couldn’t be prouder of Seahawks general manager John Schneider and Packers general manager Ted Thompson.

“I’m really pleased for them,” Wolf said. “They’re both very hard workers, and they both are very comfortable with their own opinions on who can play and who can’t play.

“It’s kind of nice to see them have some success because it’s a lot tougher business than when I was in it.”

Schneider and Thompson credited Wolf for shaping who they are as scouts and shared one of the core lessons they learned from the man who helped rebuild the Packers into perennial contenders.

“He was very honest with himself,” Thompson said. “  ‘OK, we made a mistake here. Let’s fix this mistake and move on.’

“That’s something that we all have trouble doing sometimes. He didn’t make many mistakes, but when he did, he fixed it.”

(snip)

Said Thompson: “I’m proud of our coaching staff because it’s not an easy thing to keep bringing new guys in and getting them ready.

“But our coaches and players have handled this extraordinarily well. I’m proud of that.” continue

Past the click Sean Jensen has more quotes from Seahawks GM John Schneider on Wolf, has a nugget about how Bears RT J'Marcus Webb play is trending, and another about Julius Peppers

NFP Sunday Blitz by Dan Pompei

Any team in the NFL could have had Sam Shields, who was undrafted last April but quickly established himself as the Packers’ nickel corner. Shields was a wide receiver his first three years at the University of Miami, and moved to cornerback before his senior year. He never was a full-time starter at the position. He also had a benching, a suspension and an arrest for marijuana possession in his background.

But Shields could fly, having run a sub-4.3 40-yard dash. “It’s a dreaded word, but we liked his potential,” Thompson told me. “Our scout Brian Gutekunst liked him quite a bit. We thought he had a good mind, a spirit to play the game. Like a lot of “The U” players, he’s not awed by it. The NFL doesn’t intimidate him. That’s a trait most players that come out of that university have. They feel they are ready to play. He felt that way, but still is unassuming and polite. If we knew then what we know now, we would have drafted him.”

Also important to note that Shields chose Green Bay. He had offers from other teams as well after the draft.

I don't want anyone looking at Capers. He needs to get paid!

I think the only coaching vacancy left is at Oakland, and I can't see any sane person taking an HC job there. If anything else opens up, it'll be filled before the Super Bowl, and Capers can't talk to anybody until then.
I wouldn't give Seattle GM credit for anything yet, they were 7-9 and this team looks pitiful with no depth. LB's are limping around, Colin Cole starts and plays the whole game, Lawyer Milloy was done about 2 years ago.
