A lot of Packer fans (myself included at one point) were really thinking/hoping John Schneider would take over the reigns whenever Ted hangs it up.

But the more I see some of his transactions (dumping Max Unger, they haven't had a 1st round pick in how many drafts now??, disgruntled Michael Bennett, Russell Favre contract, drafting Frank Clark) I do wonder now if he is the right guy to replace TT.

On the plus side, he has an excellent relationship with MM and is probably one of the few GM's who could come in and demand MM's respect. But it will be interesting to say the least to see how these all pan out. And that also includes how Graham does there (health/desire to block),

I don't think it matters what his relationship with McCarthy is, I have this feeling McCarthy, Thompson and Rodgers will all ride off into the sunset together and if not together within a year or two if each other at least

From the comments section:

"Double standard. Come on Goodell, put him on exempt list like Peterson, Rice and Hardy."

If he has not signed a contract he is not yet a NFL player is he?  Goodell can't touch him yet I think.

McCarthy is only 51, and he doesn't seem like the Dick Vermeil type would tearfully resign at a press conference on the grounds that he is "burnt out." Mike is a football coach, the type who will keep working as long as he is allowed to. The only way he follows Rodgers out the door when he retires in 6-7+ years (hopefully on the + side) is if he is fired.
