Ink still wet on the 5-year deal he signed. He ain't going anywhere which is why he went for it on 4th down instead of kicking a FG

..and I am loving it! What I love even more is that after the game, Spielman gets to look down his nose, at Zimmer, and ask why they did not win! Imagine having to answer to Spielman, for anything! I almost feel bad for Zimmer. Almost.

The win for the Vikings was gift wrapped and plopped in their laps - AND THEY BLEW IT!  I know we have come to expect such ineptitude - but still.   It just feels like a new low for them.  Maybe given the way the Packers blew the NFCCG we should not be so hard on them.

Maybe Justin Jefferson will want a trade to the Packers - a 4-0 team.  Just hoping.

Thoughts on last night.

Going for it on 4th was the right call. Running it to the right side wasn’t. Vikings were running wild at the left side all night. RG for the Vikings did everything he could to avoid another holding call on that play  including putting his hands down his pants

Seattle defense is worse than GB.

Looking for help in week 5 for playoff home field advantage is silliness.

The lack of crowd noise on the road makes it a huge advantage to have a veteran QB who reads defenses well.  Not having to go to silent counts and to be able to do hard counts is huge for Gree Bay given how good Rodgers in that aspect

The discussion of weather issues and HFA is an interesting one. If the season gets delayed by a few weeks, games in late January in Lambeau could be awful. I'm not sure how much of an advantage that gives to the Packers given that Aaron Jones is more of a Kamara type back that thrives on a faster track. Of course, maybe that's when Dillon will make his contribution. The TEs will also be really key in those types of games.

The biggest stupid move was going for 2 after the TD that got them within 2. It was the third quarter. You take the point there and then that 4th down call becomes a no brainer. You kick the FG to go up by 9.

Packers don't play Seattle this year so some team is going to have to "help" the Packers at some point. Could have been Minnesota last night.

Seattle isn't going undefeated. The Packers, however, might.

What gives GB a sizable advantage in late season (December/January) games is they know and adapt a lot quicker to the field conditions.   Other teams can practice in the cold and snow and wind but you can’t simulate the not so frozen and usually slippery tundra in Green Bay.  Defenders especially have a disadvantage.  Our WRs know where they are going.  Our players also know where the slick spots are and can practice on their field.

For a guy like Jones that’s shifty to begin with he can take a 5 yard pass and go 80 and make a lot of guys miss.  Same with Ervin.  Crappy turf conditions favor guys like that.

The other area we should have an advantage is in special teams.  Crosby knows the turf and wind conditions better than anyone.

As things are tracking now, Tampa, the Rams, Seattle, and even New Orleans are not set up to play in those conditions nor are they used to it.  Neither are the Cowboys or Cardinals if they make it that far.  Chicago, maybe, but I’m not sure they will be there come playoff time.
