Looks like 25 players contracts are up.
Wow that's a lot.

"and now their watch is ended...."
I would take Irvin...
Fart in the wind.
$30 million in cap space to spread around to the players they feel they need to keep. They aren't gonna lose too many "key" pieces if they don't want to.
As good as a GM they have that is a lot of players to sign and fill holes on a roster. You can't have that kind of turn over and it not affect you. Well hopefully it affects them.
Many thought they would crash after having to sign Wilson and the current core. They'll probably be fine. What signing a lot of their FA means is they'll have fewer resources left to fix their shoddy OL.
I think Seattle is a good test case about the GM approach to talent. Schneider drafts well enough but the FA stuff has been a coin flip. It hasn't completely killed their cap but seemingly the guys that make up the core of the team were drafted with a couple of exceptions. I'll be curious to see if they scale back FA moves or ramp it up the other way burdening the cap more.
His trades haven't always worked. Lynch yes, Percy Harvin no.
I don't think there is a large enough Adderall pipeline in GB to entertain this lot.
Time to bring back Harvin?
None of the guys on the list are very important/expensive outside of Okung and maybe Mebane, and Lynch is gone, freeing up even more cash. Irvin also won't be re-signed, unless it's on the cheap.
Last year was the big one.
Seahawks GM John Schneider told @BrockESPN and @TheMikeSalk that he thinks Marshawn Lynch is "leaning towards retirement."

Their biggest problem, imo, is Kam Chancellor got old fast. Going to be tough to find a guy that can do what he used to do.
Yeah the decline started in 2015 (like most of us predicted) and it's only going to get worse. They really haven't done a good job in the draft - take a look at 2013 and 2014, not very good. But they still have the 12th man, which is good for at least 10 wins a year, right?
I like the mix of avenues Schneider has explored to build that team, but I don't think it's fair to compare it to any other situation. Having a QB good enough to ride the talent surrounding him into SB contention out of the gate, at $600k a year, is a luxury we will likely never see another team enjoy.
There are still GMs who could probably bungle that, and Schneider gets all the credit in the world for handling it masterfully. But the real evaluation starts this offseason and beyond.
Interview with Schneider. Interesting to hear some of the ways he approaches building a roster.

As quiet as TT is about process, it's interesting to see the way Schneider works. While he has his own way of building, some of the principals are the same.
He came from the Ron Wolf / TT tree.
Schneider is a little more of a gambler I think.
He once talked about deals all the time like during the draft. TT would always shoot them down.
Except the 1 time he drafted Clay Matthews

Well well well.....trying to gain an advantage Cheaty Petey?
Say it ain't so.....
Ok, last night's loss sucked. But this makes me . Thanks for posting Boss
Major fines for the
#Seahawks: The team is fined $400,000 and will forfeit a week of OTAs PLSU a 2017 5th rounder. Pete Carroll fined $200K.
Seattle season is over. Maybe an 8 win team.
No OL, no decent runner. Makes Wilson look more ordinary.
Their RB crew is likely good enough, but that offensive line is just terrible, easily the worst in the league.
"Don't overpay, don't reach, (basically) no free agents" is a good philosophy as a base, but can leave you very thin at times.
