Hail to the Chief
He gets paid.
Must have been one hell of a groin. And had to make room for Matt.
TWSS!!
Wallace will just retire, no way he ever sees a field again.
bad move by TT, but the Tolzien acquisition could be brilliant if he
pans out as a solid backup with the potential hes shown
It was only a bad move by Ted because the year before he had to let Flynn walk via FA. Coleman and Harrell never developed like he thought they would've/should've and were not the answers. He cut his losses in camp and was hoping Young would work out.
I think Wallace could've been serviceable had he been in the system a little longer. All of the above is a moot point if Rodgers is on the field.
Obviously some quarterbacks develop over a couple of years, but what they ever saw in Harrell and Coleman is mysterious. I love Ted but he screwed this one up....hopefully he hits with Tozien...he did pretty good with Rodgers
I was thinking that Ron Wolf always drafted decent QBs and also brought tried and true vets to back up Favre....but as I remember, in a rare Favre injury, we lost a game based on a third string QB decision ..TJ Rubley... that was a Wolf pick---it does happen to the best of them..Rubley was gone by the end of the week.
But yes, despite the best efforts of Wolf over a long period of time.,,and that included some greats-- when it mattered, he didn't have it covered
as with many things, I guess it's harder than it looks
Hard enough to find one QB let alone two. They could have had Hasselbeck, but it would have taken up a lot more cap. Fair to criticize them given the circumstances, but at the same time have to give them credit for cutting bait on BJ and bringing in Tolzien.
Seneca looked like he didn't want to be out there.
That's ironic, because Seneca made me a drunk.
Funny, on the play you could see Wallace take an awkward step as he was being rushed and pushed back. Then he walks off the field with the slightest limp, of which you had to be looking for to see it on the replay.
After that, you don't see any warm-up or stretching or reasonable attempts to get loose or test his leg. Looked to me like he bailed out, each time they showed him standing there...and he was nowhere to be found on the sideline trying to help Tolzein prep for upcoming series.
I think MM saw this and made a judgment call that Wallace wimped out and cut him out of the picture ASAP as we heard on Monday. Now we see for sure.
Too bad too. I always used to like him.
Like Jeff Saturday, Joe Johnson, Hardy Nickerson, and Guy McIntyre before him, Seneca Wallace was a past-his-prime addition who washed out for the Packers.
After that, you don't see any warm-up or stretching or reasonable attempts to get loose or test his leg.
When they first began showing him on the sidelines after that series, it looked like he was pulling his groin literally! He was 'adjusting' his package and fidgeting around for a couple of minutes, but didn't look like he was 'testing' himself to see if he could play.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt until we find out otherwise that his injury was bad enough to prevent him from returning to the game.
Yes.
The Groin That Saved Green Bay.
