Partial Preview:
Frank Kaminsky can be described as a late bloomer, bursting on the scene last season as a junior to help guide Wisconsin to the Final Four.
The national player of the year candidate will play his last game at the Kohl Center on Sunday looking to help the fifth-ranked Badgers secure a share of the Big Ten regular-season title against a Michigan State team coming off another disappointing defeat.
Kaminsky averaged 2.9 points while starting two of 67 games through his first two seasons before averaging 13.9 points along with a team-best 6.3 rebounds in 2013-14. The 7-footer has been even better this season for Wisconsin (25-3, 13-2), ranking second in the conference in rebounding (8.8 per game), third in field-goal percentage (54.4) and fourth in scoring (17.7).
Same as always. Brown, Dukan and Showalter come in and Wisconsin loses the lead.
If Kaminsky isn't national player of the year then the whole thing is a farce. His first half just completed was simply a clinic.
His footwork is extraordinary. Up there with McHale and Hakeem (pro version). With three point range. Simply beautiful to watch.
Nice win---man it would kill me if they choke in the Tourney any time before the Final Four.
It all depends what the draw gives them as a likely 2 seed
If they don't end up in the same bracket as Kentucky I think they have a good shot to get back to the Final Four
@JimPolzinWSJ: Tom Izzo on Kaminsky: "Iβve never more impressed with a player in our league since maybe Big Dog (Glenn Robinson)."
Zags lost....Bucky still in play for a 1
Big Dog was such a matchup problem much like Frank but this UW team is much better than any of Robinson's Purdue teams
This UW team reminds me of the Illinois team 10 years ago or the Fab Five Michigan team. Really no discernible weaknesses
Except for the bench until Trae comes back.
Badgers win a big one, ten posts. Badgers lose 70 posts.

They need something from Dukan in the tournament.
Other than that, there top 6 with Jackson back is as good as anyone's
The lack of production and overall bad play from Dukan and Brown the majority of this season is downright stunning to me.
Lets just hope Jackson is back soon. Koenig was laying bricks quite a bit yesterday again and I think the 1-2 punch at PG would keep him from getting so worn down. The starters are playing a lot of minutes.

Disagree. It is close. That Okafor kid is really, really good, and his team won head to head against kaminsky's at the Kohl Center.
However, I think Kaminsky should win it, because Duke is loaded and blows out teams by 20 even without Okafor, and Wisconsin without Kaminsky loses on the road to Rutgers.
Great game by the starters. Good to see Hayes scoring more.
If Dukkan could show any production I'd feel a lot better about Final Four ambitions.
Bo is going to have to adjust his substitution patterns somehow so that only one of the Showalter, Dukan, Brown group end up playing.
Other teams previously at least had to guard Dukan at the 3 point line so the floor was decently spaced. As he's struggled, they've started giving him more room. Brown and Showalter are such poor shooters that the spacing gets all messed up and the offense bogs down. Brown's shot looks like it never get above about 11 feet - it's got such a flat trajectory it has to be perfect to go in. That's not a recipe to succeed in pressure situations.
Showalter is a guy based on athleticism and defensive ability that should be a better player. He reminds me of a shorter version of Ryan Evans.

I think Okafor will probably win it because I think a lot of writers will be influenced by the pro potential of the two players.
@JimPolzinWSJ: Bo on if Trae Jackson will be ready for the Big Ten tourney: "That might be tough."

Not my view. I think a lot of writers will be influenced by the fact that Kaminsky came back for his senior year. It's the sort of feel-good angle that the media loves.
Besides he deserves it. As Goalline notes Frank carries this team in a way Okafor, or for that matter any other player for a top 10 team, does not. CBS showed a stat yesterday to the effect that Kaminsky is the only player in D1 who leads his team in points, rebounds, assists, and blocked shots.

As long as we stay out of Kentucky's way until the final 4, I don't care where we are seeded.

Yup! Morons! Plus, Duke is the highest profile team in the country. From some of the articles I've seen, many of these lazy bums haven't even watched Wisconsin play.
When is the voting for POY? Frank and/or Okafor can seal it up....play outstanding and move your team forward.
Right now I give it to Frank.
