I am to the point of almost questioning Counsell judgement running Stinker Winker out there almost day after day. The guy has shown nothing. I'd rather have almost any position player DHing instead of him. And maybe even Peralta, a good hitting pitcher. 
I have to assume they want to package Keston in a deadline trade
Winker of all people helps get us a 2-0 lead. Then Freddy walks the lead off batter the next inning leading to a 3 run inning. 3-2 Braves.
Lose 6-4 but a hell of a at bat by Perkins with 2 on and 2 outs in the 9th. He fouled off 7 straight pitches before striking out.
What is the record for consecutive hits to start a career?
So who does Stinker Winker have pictures of? Would i make a great GM or what? I wanted Frelick called up 2 weeks ago and look, tonight he is 3-3!!!!! 
Why does Counsell continue to bat arguably the worst hitter in the National League in the cleanup spot?
How bad is that? Winker has to be close to DFA.

How can they release Tapia when he has a higher BA, HR total, stolen bases, average and OPS than Winker? Both are left handed bats, and Tapia can play defense. And Tapia has done that with less at bats. What in the hell is going on?

How about that Frelick kid and in his ML debut, no less! He gets a hit in his first ever AB in the League, gets 2 RBIs in the game. Makes two outstanding catches, in CF, at the wall. Gets three hits and sac flies in the eventual game winner when Adames scored! His family was going nuts, in the stands! Way to go, Sal Frelick!

Weimer in RF. He was regarded as one of the best in MLB before he moved to CF.

They've scored 31 runs the last 10 games, and that's with Yelich playing very well.
Who do they package to get a legitimate bat though?
I don’t know what they could offer that isn’t Chourio or any of the guys up in the bigs now. Or who they would specifically get. I’m guessing they’re feeling teams out, but are probably quite restricted by salary and what other teams want in return.
I doubt they could pull it off, but Cody Bellinger would be a nice rental for the rest of the year. Plug him in CF, move Wiemer to RF, Frelick to LF, Yelich at DH.
Not sure what the Cubs would want, but Bellinger is on a one-year deal with them.
