I know everyone is focused on Packer cuts today, but the Brewers host the Giants at 7:10 CT tonight. Does not appear to have national TV coverage.

While 4th in their division, 12.5 games back, the Giants are still a 500 club, 28-38 record on away games though.

Tobias on the mound for the Crew, here's your pitching comparison:

16 of the Brewers final 32 games are against SF, AZ, and Philly.    Taking 2 of 3 in this home series would be a nice start against those teams.   Reading the game preview the Giants have 27 of their last 30 games against teams above .500 - if they work their way into a Wild Card spot they will have earned it!

Payamps has been great for the month. Just one of those games for him.   The rest of the bullpen was good.

But 10 walks and 7 hits and only score 4 runs?  That is unacceptable.  The worst offender may have been Chourio.  Bases loaded and 2 outs and he hits the 1st pitch.   This was in the 6th inning when Doval had just walked 2 in a row.  Work the count young man.

Another 7:10 CT start for Wednesday's game, again there does not appear to be national TV coverage.

FWIW ESPN Gamecast gives a 64.8% chance of a Brewers win.

Will we get the good or bad Freddy tonight? Here is the pitching comparison:

Brewers with a 5th inning rally. Monasterio walk, Frelick walk, Chourio single drives in Monasterio, Perkins double scores both Frelick and Chourio.  3 - 0 Crew, still batting.   Now Contreras homer makes it 5 - 0!!!!!!!!!!!   And fuck the Cubs!!!!

Didn’t leave the Giants time to make a change during that rally.   Chourio singles,  Perkins hit the 2nd pitch for a 2 rbi double then Contreras crushed the first pitch for a homer.  3 hits and 5 runs in 4 pitches!

And yeah - fuck the Cubs.  Hope they make a nice run and just miss out on a wild card spot.

2 fucking outs and the Giants score 2 fucking runs.... 🖕🏼

I'm fucking pissed off now.

Tell us how you really feel.

In any event, Williams had an uneventful ninth inning to get the save.

Friggin bullpen is supposed to be a strength.

Glad they got the win. They needed that one. SF's pitcher (Harrison) was really pitching well until they got him in the 5th.

Let's get this thing clinched!!

Today's game starts at 1:10 CT, does not look like there's national TV coverage.

Hopefully we win the series with a win today. Line up should be out shortly. ESPN gamecast indicates Brewers have a 63.4% chance of a win.

Rolling along today.  6-0 Crew in the bottom of the 5th.  Mitchell with a solo home to start the scoring and they've been piling on since.

Keep piling on!!

I honestly had forgotten about Ashby.  Tiny sample size but he's pitching well since being called back up.  Hopefully the injury bug is behind him.   With a DH at Cincy tomorrow to get 7 from Civale and 2 from Ashby was huge.  Bullpen should be well rested for the weekend.

Magic # is 19 I think.  Maybe a bit too soon?

I was thinking about this today and NO it is not too soon. Brewers should be the 1st to clinch their division.   Philly has the next largest lead at 5 but they play 4 with the 2nd place Braves this weekend.  American league is very tight for division winners.   Wild Card in both leagues are pretty close too.   Get hot and get that #1 or #2 seed please!!!!!

Man, I'd like to see them get in so Milwaukee can send them home for the winter. How satisfying would that be?
