Just one guys opinion, but I think it's interesting he has our #1 pick going higher in the first, and our #2 pick jumping up into the 1st round.
Guess that Ted guy may know what he's doing from time to time.

I didn't follow Pryor all that closely, but last I knew he was struggling a bit and I'm not sure he'd go ahead of HHCD in a redo.
21. Green Bay Packers
(Original pick: Alabama FS Ha Ha Clinton-Dix)
Re-do pick: San Jose State CB BenÃĐ BenwikereWhen he was given a chance to start in the second half of Carolina's season, Benwikere impressed, allowing a rookie-low 72.9 opposing quarterback rating and no touchdowns in 459 regular-season snaps. He was less impressive in Carolina's playoff loss to Seattle, but this fifth-rounder should have been selected a lot earlier in the draft, and given Green Bay's issues in the secondary, he could have been as impactful as Clinton-Dix turned out to be.
Ah no. Pretty happy with the kid we got. GB sorely needed an upgrade at safety. That's exactly what we got.
HHCD went off the board one pick earlier to NO in the redo.
There's no way Brandin Cooks makes it past Green Bay in a re-do.
Stupid friggin article & waste of internet space
I have mixed feelings on Davante Adams. There's times where you can see what the Packers saw in him. He's very quick once he gets the ball in his hands and he can break tackles for extra yards. He looks like he has the potential to have very good hands, but dropped more than I would have liked.
It does look like Adams has the chance to be good. The 2 things I would have liked to see more of would be Adams beating guys deep and being more on the same page as Rodgers.
There were too many times where Rodgers would throw to a spot and it seemed like Adams was either not ready for the ball, or didn't go where he was expected. That can be corrected as he gets more comfortable with the speed of the NFL and getting used to the routes that Rodgers expects him to run. Hopefully he makes a huge jump in this area in year 2.
Hopefully Adams can use that great quickness to find a way to get open for more deep balls in the future. He doesn't look like he has great top end speed, but that isn't necessarily a requirement to get deep. If he can refine his routes and use that explosive first step quickness he has, maybe that will be enough to get him a bit more separation than he showed this year.
The good news, was that Adams did play key role in 3 or 4 Packers' wins this year. Hopefully he can increase that number of games where he is "on" a bit more next year.
Was he as good as the James Jones of 2012-2013? Probably not, but I think he can more than replace Jones in the coming years as he might be a little bit quicker overall than Jones. And Jones certainly took a few years before the Pack felt like he was consistently reliable. Even in Jones 4th year (2010) he was dropping balls left and right. Adams overall may have the potential to be as good as or better than Jones was in his prime.
It's a complicated offense and receivers don't typically bust out until year 3. Adams has shown plenty of reason for excitement. He's much quicker and agile than Jones and while he shows signs of great hands, even though Jones had a problem with easy catches, he (Jones) probably came up with more WTF catches than any other Packer over a 3 year span.
Adams- 38 catches, 446 yards, 3 TD
Cobb- 25 catches, 375 yards, 1 TD
Nelson- 33 catches, 366 yards, 2 TD
Adam's has the best start of any of Ted's second round WR
He was a rookie. Of course he's going to miss some assignments in this precision offense with a QB who thinks as quickly as any in the game. He'll be enormously improved next year. I don't remember any rookie coming into this offense and immediately dominating. Just look at the rookie stats for a few recent guys:
Jennings - 45/632/3TD
Jordy - 33/366/2TD
James Jones - 47/676/2TD
Cobb - 25/375/1TD
Adams - 38/446/3TD
I'd say he's right there in the pack with the rest of these guys, all of whom were basically #3s at-best as rookies.
One might argue it's because Rodgers is better now than when Jordy and Cobb were rookies. I wouldn't though.
Adams- 38 catches, 446 yards, 3 TD
Cobb- 25 catches, 375 yards, 1 TD
Nelson- 33 catches, 366 yards, 2 TD
Adam's has the best start of any of Ted's second round WR
El-Ka Rong....Guess Greg Jennings never played for the packers. And let's not count JJ because he was a 3rd rounder
Yup, I missed Jennings, but putting it in would have invalidated H5's hypothosis which he already rejected.
I will try to be more thorough in the future. In my defense, I was working on my consensus board when I responded, so I had other priorities.
Right, Jennings w/Favre and Jones being a 3rd rounder didn't fit the cherry-picked stats.
You can compare him to the other #3 WRs the Packers have had in the Rodgers era:
2008- *Nelson 54 Targets/33 Receptions (61%)/366 Yards/2 TD
2009- Jones 62 Targets/32 Receptions (52%)/676 Yards/5 TD
2010- Nelson 64 Targets/45 Receptions (70%)/582 Yards/2 TD
2011- Jones 55 Targets/38 Receptions (69%)/635 Yards/7 TD
2012- Nelson 73 Targets/49 Receptions (67%)/745 Yards/7 TD
2013- Boykin 83 Targets/49 Receptions (59%)/681 Yards/3 TD
Average for previous 6 seasons: 65 Targets/41 Receptions (63%), 614 Yards, 4 TD
2014- *Adams 66 Targets/38 Receptions (58%)/446 Yards/3 TD
His numbers are a little lower than the average #3 WR in this offense, but not much lower. The only other rookie on that list was Jordy in 2008. So Adams produced numbers on par with his veteran predecessors, that is a big positive to me. He will only get better.
As long as the stats can fit the meme...by all means
Below is a pie chart demonstrating the percentage of intelligent posts from IC and Fedgateya. IC is represented in the circle by blue, Fedgateya is yellow.
I think the chart speaks for itself. Meme fits the stats.
Fegateya
You can't include Boykin. Again, Rodgers was not the QB for most of his games. Only 2nd rounders with Rodgers as the QB fits the comparison. Otherwise you are comparing beards to crocs.
So then you're just comparing Adams vs. Nelson because Cobb was the #5 WR, that's not a fair comparison? Cobb was the #5 because he was buried behind established vets like Jennings, Jones, Nelson, and Driver. Adams was the #3 because he was better than a group consisting of Jarrett Boykin, Jeff Janis, and Kevin Dorsey...that's not a knock on Adams, it is what it is.
So if we're talking about Adams stats compared to other #3 WRs, he's on par with a group of solid vets. If we are talking about him as a rookie 2nd round pick, his stats look great compared to Nelson and Cobb, the #5 WR/Returner.
The point from here is that IMHO he fits right in to the other young WRs who have played in MM's offense as rookies - whether it was with Bert or AR. They're good but not dominant, and all of them showed signs of having a high upside. All of them got better. DuhVante is really no different.
Best pie chart ever:
I need a pie chart from el ka dumdum with all the probabilities. I want statistics of only cherry picked 2nd rounders that only caught passes on Sundays as a 3rd receiver and not playing behind Jennings,Jordy,Jones, Driver and Finley.
Even though Driver, Finley and Jones were not as high as 2nd rounder so they should not count.
I think your request requires some imaginary stats, and we really cannot have that party without inviting TD
Don't hold your breath.
I thought EKB was comparing the rookie stats of Packers WRs drafted in the 2nd round who played with Rodgers? That would be Jordy, Cobb, and Adams.
So on plays where Cobb was in the backfield does that make Adams the #2 receiver? If so then his stats would have to reflect any catches he made when the Packers used that formation.
You people need lives.
Adams is going to be outstanding--but I hope they re-sign CobbâĶthis article had the Bears Fuller moving up to pick 11âĶ.The Packers in particular picked on him this seasonâĶhe had some tough games----yes it is the rookie season, but Corners typically shine the most in the first season.
