The lions were playing cover two, with 6 guys up front, daring us to run and trying to hide their 5th string DBs.

Why didn't we do what the Broncos have done since Welker's out??? They've been coming out in 2 TE sets to start the games.

1. more blocking for Lacy

2. more run and pass blocking help for inadequate RTs.

3. Boykins can't catch or get open anyway

4. Play action like Nelson's TD against Jets (we were in 2 TE).

5. Take their D out of cover 2 or they'll get killed with better run blocking

6. more effective run game keeps our D off the field

7 We don't throw quick slants anymore. Now, it's all outside the hashmarks. Quickie to the TE over the middle would be nice to see again.

8. If Jordy's going to be doubled every play, daylight has to be somewhere for the running game.

9. Chit, we could even use motion again using one of the TEs and when the ball is snapped we have 2 TEs on one side. BRILLIANT!

Too bad stupidface seems to always fall back on going deep with his shiny toys.

Green and Gold, Baby!!!

Rich Rod can't block to save his life right now. And it will likely take a year in the weight room to see if he can.

Quarless can, but then you're sending him in the there to block which means you then have to rely on the running game to actually run north/south. Something MM won't do.

Ryan Taylor is a ST player who can't catch well or get separation.

Bostick is sitting on ST's only and no one knows why. So he's unknown at best.

Pretty sad when you miss Tom Crabtree.

I know Demovsky assumed that Clements was saying Bostick has bad practice habits, but I read it to mean his lost time in TC put him behind the other TEs in regards to playbook awareness/preparedness.

From the way offensive coordinator Tom Clements made it sound on Monday, Bostick's practice habits have not warranted playing time. When asked whether Bostick can elevate his play to match what it was in training camp, Clements said: "Sure, he can. It's just a matter of being consistent and getting back into the groove."

Why was it that "Midway through training camp, Brandon Bostick looked like the Green Bay Packers' best chance to replicate what Jermichael Finley offered them at the tight end position.", and then after coming back from injury he no longer practices well?

Not buying it. McGenius doesn't trust him due to the missed time.
