Pioneering TV comic dies aged 91
I doubt many people here are old enough to remember actually seeing Your Show of Shows, although in the early 1970s ten sketches from the show were anthologized and released to movie theaters as Ten From Your Show of Shows.
You're probably more likely to remember him from It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, in which he played the husband of Edie Adams; together the two try to beat everybody to the $350,000 buried under the "Big W" by taking a biplane:
However, the two get waylaid in the basement of a hardware store while trying to buy a shovel to dig up said money.
