Kershaw lasted 1/3 of an inning giving up 6 runs. D-backs add 3 more in the 2nd. Now 9-0 Snakes. Guess they are for real.

Damn.
Brewers were going to beat them with Woodruff. Oh well shit happens.
Kershaw with another playoff gem
Yeah, but They didnât deserve to be in the playoffs in the first place. 3 wild card teams is too much after a 162 game regular season.
Iâm still pouting
Clayton Kershaw strikes again. Canât think of a HOF player in any pro sport that has as much postseason struggles as him. James Harden and Chris Paul arenât even close.
Another reason why huge coin to one pitcher is nuts.
Paying huge coin to a starting pitcher in their mid to late 30s just adds to the craziness.
Verlander, Scherzer, Kershaw, deGrom, you can go up and down the list of the highest paid pitchers and except for a few they are mostly older guys.
Rangers about to take 2 on the road at Baltimore. Orioles are in deep do do.
Texas gotta close em out in Texas.
Guess we'll see but if it all goes down like we think it will....
Guess who's baaaaaaaaaacckk?!? Friggin Bochy man.
Atlanta beats Phillies 5-4 with 1 in the 6th and 2 each in the 7th and 8th.
Snakes at it again getting 3 in the 1st off the Dodgers.
1st ALCS ticket punched, TEXAS RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Phillies just took 2-1 lead on Braves. As disappointing an end to our beloved Crewâs season the Braves could be bounced twice early. Especially since been best team in baseball all year.
Twins done and the Snakes already up 2-0 in the third.

Former Brewer Orlando Arcia made fun of Harper for getting doubled off first to end the game last night. Harper was told about.
Then tonight he hit two massive home runs and stared down Arcia as he rounded second on both home runs. After the game, he got asked about it and said he definitely meant to stare him down.
Harper is who Yelich was in 2018-19. A guy whose swagger just lifts the whole team.
Series ain't over yet.....
AZ wins!
Fcuk the Dodgers
ALCS is an all Texas affair. Rangers and Astros.
AZ vs. Phillies/Braves
Some good baseball coming up here in the CS's

So, who wins the East, between Philly and Atlanta? Atlanta had a great season, but when a team does that, I feel they regress, a bit, in the post season. I think Philly takes the DS vs the Braves. I'm not a Phillie's fan, but there it is. Two wild card teams moving on.
Good night Braves.
The D-backs might as well win the whole damn thing.
If this year follows the script of other Brewers playoff seasons, the Diamondbacks will be in the WS. If you beat the Brewers in the playoffs you are at least getting to the WS if not winning it.
All eight teams made the WS (1982 Cards were already in it) and six of them won the WS.
Woodruff could miss all of 2024
Brewers are like MLBs Good Luck Chuck.
Someone made that comment today on the radio. Bill Michels, I think?

Maybe this opens the door for a team friendly extension?
Pitchers having shoulder surgery can be a risky proposition. What a bad break for him and the team.
From the JSO:
"The timing is especially tough for Woodruff considering he is in his final year of arbitration and was in line to hit free agency in 2024.
With that in mind, there are four plausible scenarios that could occur.
-- The Brewers could tender Woodruff for 2024, end up paying him somewhere around $10 million and hope that he is able to recover and return to pitching at some point;
-- Come to terms with Woodruff on some sort of multi-year deal that compensates him for not pitching most or all of 2024 and then works for both sides for 2025 (or, potentially, beyond);
-- Attempt to work out a trade with another team if a multi-year deal with Milwaukee couldn't be agreed upon;
-- Or, simply non-tender him, leaving Woodruff a free agent and the Brewers with no obligations to their 2014 11th-round pick but also no compensation for his loss.
The tender deadline is Nov. 17."

That is my optimistic thought too, any other outcome is complete horseshit for the Crew as trading, a premier, picture is no longer an option
Woodruff has made 25 million TOTAL in his career. He was probably going to get that per year over 6-7 years had he been healthy going into free agency. It's hard to feel sorry for a guy that's made 25 million, but he turned into the next Ben Sheets.

Burnes is as good as gone. After the Dodgers and Braves both got eliminated this past week, I would expect them (and maybe the NY teams) to be in the market for a trade. But with Burnes being from the West Coast, I'd expect the Dodgers to come after him. The Dodgers have a good farm system. The Brewers to get a at least a couple of good pitching prospects back for him.
The team friendly option makes the most sense for the team, but Woodruff probably has some say in this. If itâs âteam friendlyâ heâs going to want a lot of years and heâs not getting any younger.
A more likely scenario would be like 3 years at around 20M a year- taking into account this upcoming year. He might be open to it because in theory he could still get another contract after that. It wouldnât kill the Brewers if he doesnât work out and provides Woodruff a chance to earn more if he performs well.
I think they will give Burnes a 1 year contract with a hefty pay raise especially if Woodruff will sign a team friendly deal saving some $$$$ there. If they are not in the playoff race at the deadline then trade Burnes. Any team in contention will snap him up. Why? They saved themselves millions by not having to pay him for the whole season and still get his services for the stretch run. The Brewers can not expect Peraltra to shoulder the whole load.
Unless itâs a deal in the 30M range Burnes isnât signing anything with Milwaukee. That ship sailed last offseason when they pissed him off and insulted him for like 100K. Having Scott Boras as his representation doesnât help matters either.
Milwaukee would be better off trading him now because Burnes for a whole season is worth more than half a season. The problem is the fans will freak out but hey itâs business. The Brewers arenât going to pay. You canât have it both ways. Get a couple of decent prospects and hope one of them turns out to be really good.
I guess we'll have to wait and see who is right. I sure hope I am.
Iâm confident they trade Burnes
Heâs gone - thereâs no question about it.
My guess is Milwaukee wonât want to face the backlash from the fans before the season starts (dealing him) so a trade deadline move is more likely. However, itâs totally in the interest of the team to trade him when they can get the most value. Thatâs prior to the season.
The Woodruff thing just sucks on so many levels because it puts the team in a major bind for the upcoming season. Had Woodruff been healthy then it gives you a lot more cushion if Burnes is gone. Maybe Ashby comes back strong and they find another starter with Peralta and Houser can step it up.
