There are four openings for a spot on the Brewers' Mt. Rushmore.  The first two are obvious--Yount and Billy Joe Robidoux, I mean Paul Molitor.  After the obvious two, it's up for grabs.  Prince?  Ben Sheets?  Cooper?  Braun?  Aaron?

I will say:  Molitor, Yount and Cooper and then Braun.

The first two are easy- Molitor/Yount.

The next two? Wow... tough.

Braun certainly has his place- he's one of the team's best offensive players ever. It'll always be tainted, but he's an all-time Brewer.

I say Gumby as #4- 19 years with the team, in the top 10 in 19 different categories all-time. He embodies the Brewers of the 70's and 80's as the consummate pro. All-time leader in Defensive WAR, most sacrifice hits... deserves to have his number retired, IMO.

Probably Cooper and Ueker.

How about a secondary Rushmore with Kevin Sietzer, Fernando Vina, Gabe Kapler and Dave Nilsson?  (Man this franchise has a crappy history with pitching)

Maynard, it is sad that we can only come up with 2 great players and an announcer for the Brewers Mt. Rushmore.  How about we do an all time Milwaukee (to include the Braves Rushmore)?  Yount, Molitor, Aaron, and Spann or maybe Eddie Mathews.

I don't think a non-player should be on the list. Just me.

You gotta have Gumby. The only 2B comparable defensively was Randolph, and I'd take Gumby all day and twice on Sunday's. Not an all-time MLB great but certainly an all-time Brewer.

The pitching has been bad, but how about a Mt. Rushmore of pitchers only?

Mike Caldwell

Rollie Fingers

Teddy Higuera

Ben Sheets

The pitching has been bad. To get into the top 10 in wins in Brewer history takes 64 wins.

1. Slaton 117-121

2. Caldwell 102-80

3. Higuera 94-64

4. Haas 91-79

5. Gallardo 89-64

6. Sheets 86-83

7. Wegman 81-90

8. Bosio 67-62

9. Travers 65-67

10. Eldred 64-65

Avid fan since '70.

1) Danny Walton

2) Tommy Harper

3) Phil Roof

4) Skip  Lockwood

It means I'm 10 again.....

But seriously:

1) Robin

2) Molly

3) Gorman (Bigger than life)

4) Tie: Gantner/Oglive/Coooooooooper.

This comment by me pretty much goes against my principals but I may remove one of those and add Sabathia to it. In that 3/4 season he put the team on his back and carried the club to it's first playoff berth is a million years. It could be argued that if Fingers makes it, CC should as well.

Only non-arguable choice is Higgy, IMO...

Not a bad argument, but then you have to consider putting Don Sutton on it as well. If they don't trade for him in 1992, they miss the playoffs. He went 4-1 for them and pitched in the final game of the season that they had to win to get in. And then he came back the next year and went a serviceable 14-12.

1. Yount

2. Molitor

3. Cooper

4. Prince

Braun was looking like he might approach the top spot if his amazing stretch continued. It didn't. He's an embarrassment to the franchise and the city. Pariah !!

Sorry. Yes obviously 1982. He got shelled in the World Series but was otstanding down the stretch and in the ALCS.
