And I don't.  To me that was the mystery of the World Series. To see how the one leagues best did against the other leagues best.  who may not have faced a batter for years  during spring training or minor leagues.   So say the Brewers play the White Sox near the end of the regular season and then play 3 weeks later in the World series.  Where is the mystery as to how the teams compare. We already know.

The same thing happened to the NFL years ago. I think one year Denver and Dallas played the last week of the regular season and then met in the SB. There weren't as many rounds in the playoffs so it was like 3 weeks later.

If there is going to be any inter-league play it should be where everyone plays each other and balance the schedule as much as possible. It's a boon for the fans who now can attend games and see all of the teams.

The only bad thing I can say about the Brewers, injuries to Woodruff, Mitchell, and Ashby are going to be really really tough to overcome over 162 games.

Ashby is replaceable but Woodruff and Mitchell are special.  Let’s just hope at least Woodruff can come back mid-season.  From everything I read about Mitchell, it seems doubtful we’ll see him again this year.

Also read that Frelick apparently dodged serious injury down in the minors.  Definitely need that guy to get healthy and back on track.  If Wiemer continues to struggle at the plate we may need to give Sal a shot at some point though he clearly isn’t ready yet either.

This seems like it might be the best team since 2018, but they need a bit more luck injury wise than they have had so far.
