For me has been taken off the Packers Choke job by the "gutsy-ballsy" choke job of Pete and the seaurchins.

As much as it stings what could have been for us...........   Imagine the sting losing in that epic choke of all chokes.    Even Viking fans think it was a bigger choke then any of their previous chokes.

At least our choke job was a combination of multiple chokes.  The Seattle debackled the hugest brain fart choke of all chokes.

Hard to breathe right now in the rainy city in "the great" NW

Been through many contract negotiations in my line of work, including 1st chair several times, so know a little bit about leverage and how it works in trying to reach agreement

Doesnt really change much for me. GB has their bag of issues to deal with. Brooming Slocum was step one. Couple more issues to deal with.

I look at the SB as a benefit to GB in regards to competitive balance in the NFC in 2015. GB can look at its loss and it's pretty easy to see where things went wrong (ST, Hawk, 2-point conversion). The tougher part is MM's psyche in 2015. He overthought things before. My concern is he might actually regress after that loss.

Seattle on the other hand? I don't care what anyone says. If you have 3 plays to pick up 3 feet  to win a Super Bowl and you'll never know if the best RB in football could have picked up those 3 feet... I think that loss is going to mess them up. The bigger turd in the punch bowl. Several players voiced anger that Lynch should have carried the ball. These are guys that have already been extended By Schnieder. While I agree with them about running Lynch that's a lot of voices essentially saying "WTF is Russell Wilson doing handling the ball" in that situation. So I wonder how it's going to go over in the locker room when Wilson gets $20 million per year.

Quinn going to Atlanta isn't going to be devastating because Pete's a DC by nature. But it's still change to a good defense.

FIDO!

Here is an interesting read from H5's favorite website

Goes through some of the details of that final play

When your opponent is a "match-up" coach, you can often influence how they react with certain personnel packages. BB "knew" that if he showed goalline ( 8 defenders on the LOS) that Pete the Cheat would likely go pass over run.

By the way, did you know the french word "Peter" = fart ?

Seattle learned just how hard it is to stay on top.   And it won't get any easier for them when you consider that AZ and STL are a QB away from giving them a run for their money and I think SF dramatically underachieved this year.

The way they melted down at the end of the game did take some of the sting out of the GB loss but only to a point.  I am firmly convinced that the Packers could have beaten New England and won another Super Bowl but they never got the chance and that sucks.  You just never know how many chances you can or will get.

There is no reason to believe GB can't be one of the best teams in 2015 but I still view 2014 as a missed opportunity - much like I felt in 1995 and 1998 and 2004 and 2007 in particular.

What's worse: having to hear about the Patriots dynasty or having to hear about the Seahawks dynasty? At least with the Patriots there are as many detractors who say an asterisk belongs on their dynasty as there are supporters. Seahawks bandwagon fans have tucked their tails and aren't talking the kind of mindless sh*t they have been since their SB win. Also we won't see Richard Sherman and his ilk run their mouths, they've been humbled...at least for a while I'm sure.

Truthfully, I'd sooner read a Movies to TiVo thread than acknowledge either team's fanbase.

Mike Francesa just said that if you lined up the final four teams again he thinks the Packers are emerging as champs, says he thinks they were the best of the four teams. Didn't say if that was contingent on MM being on the sidelines.

The stupid call by the Seahawks, after the catch seemed to have saved them, screams that the string has run out on the luck the Seahawks were running on the past few seasons.

I think the longer Seattle waited to snap the ball, the more that confirmed to the Pat's defense that a pass was coming.

If you call a running play with 26 seconds left and 1 timeout, you limit your options on 3rd and 4th.     Therefore it had to be a pass.

Kinda like trying to draw the Defense offside on 4th and short.  If the play-clock winds down, they aint snapping it.   Perhaps the jump that Butler got also came because they sensed pass all the way.    If he is unsure, he hesitates and receiver beats him to the ball.
