Chapter 9 titled "Hope." My dad was the driver of one of the three tanks mentioned in this story. I also found some of my dad's war memorabilia that contained the names of some of the other people mentioned in the book. I was quite overcome reading some of the chapters. My dad was there.
My dad and mom would meet up with the Smoyers at their army reunions. They and two more couples always used to chum around at them.
